Peanut butter sandwiches are a time honored tradition for many people. Do YOU like them? And what, if anything, do you have with your peanut butter?

They are better toasted. They are good with alfalfa. They are decidedly not good with pickles. And I won't even try them with honey.

OMFG, Peanut Butter on toast is the best! :bounce:

You have to put PB on both pieces of toast, when it's HOT, then put it together. So gooey, so good!

Honey. Honey honey honey. Peanut butter and honey. And then bananas.

And jam if there's no honey or bananas.

I like to put some peanut butter on toast and then cook it in a toaster oven for a bit for a quick and warm meal. Also goes well with bagels.

Crunchy peanut butter with blackcurrant or bilberry jam. Heaven.

Heated is even better.

I concur with the peanut butter on toast combo, but as someone adhering to a gluten-free/vegan diet, it's more likely to just be a spoonful of peanut butter with chocolate chips, these days!

I had a friend who didn't eat peanut butter until she was in her mid-twenties, so I have hope for you Miss Mae.

YOU SHOULD TRY THIS REALLY STURDY BREAD OK AND CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER AND SLICED BANANA AND BACON AND MAKE UP LIKE A GRILLED CHEESE

You will thank me later (unless your life choices or dietary health needs exclude you from bacon or bread or banana or peanut butter if so then disregard please.)

You mean "didn't eat" as in didn't eat it frequently, or "didn't eat" as in like literally had never tried PB before? Because if it's the latter I'm genuinely intrigued as to how someone could avoid it for so long growing up in America.

She'd had it as a kid but she didn't like it very much. Well she liked Reese's Pieces, but that's not really peanutbutter. When she got married her husband would eat peanut butter straight from the jar and she got curious one day. Turns out she liked it.

Greg is really good for her.

Don't go judging me for FOA's opinions about the best type of peanut butter.

I wasn't judging you. I referenced you because her post was directed @you. The headshake was for her.

Your good in my book, & your Peanuts love confirms it. :thumb:

I've tried putting peanut butter in my tea once and it didn't really work out. :(

I'm gonna try coffee next.

I once saw an episode of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, where he put a couple of sticks of butter & some roasted peanuts in a ziplock. He then took a rolling pin & rolled it out. then he ate some & said, "Mmm... that's some good peanut butter..."
