Even though I'm partial to Squall, Cloud would definitely be the "mascot" of the game hands down. The person in front of all the promotional posters. I think you'd also see Lara Croft (TR), Sora (KH), Adam Jensen (Deus Ex), Garrett (Thief), Agent 47 (Hitman), Crono (CT), Aya Brea (Parasite Eve)....

W-well, neither Legend of Dragon or Legend of Legaia are Square-Enix titles. Dragoon is a pure Sony game and Legaia was made by Contrail, which was an internal Sony dev group.

I'd fill it up with a bunch of FF characters and forget about the other Square titles minus Lara Croft and a couple of KH characters, which is the perfect metaphor for current Square.

I'd probably add Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Vincent, Squall, Seifer, Quistis, Zell, Irvine, Zidane, Vivi, Steiner, Beatrix, Freya, Quina...

I hate to jump on the wagon with "everybody already picked him" but I think Cloud would be pretty sweet as a character in ANY fighting game. I also agree with everyone about Kingdom Hearts characters! Every character in that series would make incredible fighters! even the villains. they would also have some very good levels too.
