What do you do when you hang out with friends?

Just came home from hanging out with a friend and part of me feels like I'm doing it wrong cause we spent the whole evening just talking, in fact I prefer conversation over playing games or doing some activity. What do the cool kids do?

whatever i mean sometimes you want to talk sometimes you want to do an activity neither of those things should feel weird because those are things that social humans do

my fave activities include beating my friends at tony hawk games, eating out, eating in, drinking out, drinking in, dancing, having sex and walking up mountains and around lakes etc

Depends. Sometimes I find that we gather to play games or something, and then a few hours later, and one or two beers down, we end up just talking. Other times we plan on just sitting and chatting for hours. Sometimes we are out dancing! It is all acceptable and all dependant on what we feel like doing at the time.

I have this weird thing where I don't like to watch movies or things like that with people because I find it boring! When I'm with people I want to talk, listen to music and talk, go out, walk around, do stuff like that. Also it''s an incredibly rare thing for me to hang out with people and not be drinking. That is generally what I do with my friends. Drink. If I'm not out then I'm alone and going to the gym and not talking to anybody and being so lonely it hurts :greenie:

I don't know, most of the time I hang out with friends it involves drinking, maybe some video/board games, plenty of talking/laughing, nice food and probably some more drinking. Sometimes somebody puts on a tv show or a movie as a talking point.

A few beers, then a restaurant and then back to a pub, not a lot to do in my home town so we normally head to a city for something to do.

Depends. I feel like I have to entertain people for a while in a new friendship so I'm EXTREMELY happy when I feel comfortable enough to just sit around and chat with them. I think one of my favorite hang out sessions involved wine, Frozen, and watching Too Cute on Netflix while we chatted about life.

Sometimes people will head on over to my place as we drink, watch internet stuff, a movie, or play games. There is a drive in that is within reasonable distance that we'll go to. 2 movies for 10 bucks a head. One way or another we all end up talking about stuff and just generally having a good time. You guys should come over sometime.

Eat, talk, giggle excessively, play video games, go out to see a movie, dance maybe, drink maybe, but food is always involved. Maybe other times we'll go the park or take a ferry ride to Governor's Island. With particular friends I do particular things, but like I said before food is ALWAYS involved.

It's actually been awhile since I've hung out with any friends, but in my case, I usually hang out with them, usually we talk, play games, eat out, pretty much what everyone has said. It's just been awhile since I've done any of these with anyone other than my brother. In his case, I usually mess with his head a bit by telling him weird things.

Depends on the friends. A couple of my friends we would watch The Office in college (which turned to movies when we got tired of watching bad episodes every week), and then we'd play a board game or two. Other friends we play video games for a while and watch horror movies. Other friends we just talk.

Depends who the friend is and the setting. Some friends, we literally just go out and chat, others we watch films or gather at someone's apartment and play games.

Talk, eat, video games, tv. Then we get self conscious about how much time we're spending inside playing videogames and watching tv so we go to the park and talk about video games and the shows we watched.

What most people have already said, really. Hang out either indoors or outdoors depending on the weather, eat, drink, socialise, watch TV, browse YouTube, play video games, suffer from spontaneous laughing fits, dodge them as they run for the bathroom so they can puke, blow up airbeds by singing into them to the tune of Final Fantasy songs, you know, normal things.
