If you were going to speedrun this game what class combo would you use?

I found a discussion elsewhere, and the consensus seems to be two fighters plus two mages of your choice (two red mages or one white mage/one black mage) - but what do you guys think?

(Also I don't know if these people were actual speedrunners so they could be way off)

Feasel has done speedruns of the game, you can check out his 3:42 run here (http://www.twitch.tv/feasel/c/2952949) on his Twitch page, and he used a party of two fighters and two red mages.

Which, it so happens, is the party I'd probably use. The fighters cover all your damage needs and the red mages can haste and heal, so . . . I can't imagine improving that. :)

I'd probably used 2 Fighters and 2 Red Mages too. 2 characters who can cast LIFE is pretty nifty.

The two Fighters and two Red Mages seem solid enough to me. Though I would not attempt a speedrun of this game.

Four fighters and a game genie. I can get to Chaos in ~4 hours with that group.

You might be better off with four Masters if you are going the Game Genie route, though.

Just attempted this w/ 2 Warriors/2 Red Mages on GBA version & got shelled by 2 Piscodemons in the Marsh Caves. :ffvitrouble:

One of my Mages was knocked out before I got a turn. The problem I had was I didn't upgrade my armor from Chain Mail.

Lit2, or whatever they renamed it to in the GB version, works well against them too.
