I read this article this morning, and it has crossed my mind throughout the day! it is so heart warming and touching for complete strangers to help this guy. As a father and Photoshop user, I can't tell you how proud I am of the people that stepped up!

hope you are able to enjoy!

When Nathan Steffel's infant daughter, Sophia, died after spending her six weeks of life in a hospital with tubes to help her breathe, he turned to Reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/2ajul6/photoshop_request_my_daughter_recently_passed/) with a simple request.
My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?
The painful appeal by Steffel, who lives in Ohio (http://www.buzzfeed.com/richardhjames/a-grieving-father-asked-strangers-to-photoshop-a-picture-of?bffb#), was answered by a collection of kindhearted individuals who edited Sophia's photo just as Steffel asked. The results were stunning.
Redditor funkybrewster (http://www.reddit.com/user/funkybrewster) posted this version and wrote, "This is super late but I really wanted to help out too. Here's my attempt (http://i.imgur.com/xPrCbeP.jpg). I hope I didn't overdo it on the color correction."

Other attempts were equally beautiful.

And others responded with sketches of Sophia.

Steffel was clearly touched by the efforts.
"This is really amazing," he wrote on Reddit. "Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers. A long with a lot of great photos, drawings and paintings. Thanks everyone!"

aww it's always nice seeing people as a collective doing something nice for someone they don't know and probably never will. Gives you have a little hope for humanity.
