So who watched the animated movie "Up"?

I feel it is a really touching and inspiring story. I cried when the old granny died. Now thinking of it makes me....:whimper:

So, who likes Up too?

PS: I think the love story in Up is much better than the 3 (or is it more?) Twilight movies combined. :gator:

I loved this film, I thought it was so sweet. But everyone says it's depressing.

It is depressing when old grandman died though!!!

But things picked up and all ended well!!

It was just a sad moment in the film but on the whole I don't think it's depressing. The story of the old man and the boy was really heart-warming.

I reckon they would have needed more balloons than that to lift a house but I'm happy to suspend belief in this case :p

I don't expect to get punched in the feels 10 minutes into a movie. The rest of it was a great adventure romp though. :D

I guess I'm probably the only person who wasn't really affected by this movie. :shobon: I didn't really find it moving or particularly spectacular.

The beginning was sad, but I don't really SQUIRREL.

That fucking opening was a gut punch. Brilliant and unexpected. The rest of it was okay. Typical wacky Disney Pixar characters having typically wacky Disney Pixar adventures.

I've never seen it but I've heard it's good, so I would like to at some point

A much more moving movie than any live action film could ever be.

They're not a "grand lady" and a "grandman"--they never had kids, so they never had grandkids. They're just old, and alone, and failed to realize any of their dreams.

Twilight's better.

It was sad but not crying sad. (maybe a tear or two at the bit with the photo album towards the end of the movie and when he throws out all the stuff in the house)

The rest was fun. One of the least stereotyped Asians I've seen in an english movie which makes a nice change from all the heavy accented kungfu masters/super nerds

Also I love the detail in the old guy's stubble

You have no soul.

Up was pretty great. It tugged on your heart at the beginning but then led into a fun and adventurous story. Top 5 Pixar movie for me. They should make more originals like this instead of sequels.

The opening ten or so minutes of Up are easily the most depressing I've seen in a kids' film.

It was an okay movie beyond that though. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it didn't have talking dogs flying in planes.

That really isn't saying much considering Twilight is crap.

I've never gotten around to watching this movie.

This is one of the films where I felt it would have been better as a short film. The beginning was great and so was the end, it really didn't need that much in the middle.

I adore this movie. It made me cry in the first 10 mins.
