I'm sorry- I know that this started off as a Twilight fanfic, but the only similarities I see between the two are the fact that they're both set in Washington. And that the main male and his family are filthy rich, and Ana's ridiculous obsession with Christian like Bella had with Edward.

Either way, both sets of books are terrible, so I guess there's another similarity.

I want to know what this "good smut" is supposed to be. I never finished the 50 Shades trilogy because I got bored, but the first one was decent smut-wise. The writing was poor but the smut itself was good.

I like the casting. I like that the trailer for the trailer had a bit of a "this is not so much romantic as it is borderline insane" vibe, and it's very likely I'll like this movie. Though I don't think I'll like the other two.

I've just watched the trailer and I'm so excited!!! I'm still not sure exactly how they will make this film without it being a porno... But I'm mega excited to find out. I woulda loved Ryan Gosling to play Mr Grey... But I won't judge til I've seen the film.

When I think of Twilight, I think of a really abusive relationship being glorified by circumstance. Watching this trailer, I see something similar, but different. Like the narrative itself is going to be aware of the unhealthiness of that sort of a relationship, but it'll just keep showing you. It looks... raw.
