They did it. They actually went and did it. They're bringing back the Mako for Mass Effect 4!


Developer BioWare’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 mostly reiterated what it said when it gave us our first look at Mass Effect at E3 2014, but it did reveal that the game will see the return of the Mako vehicle from the first game in the series.

The all terrain vehicle looks a little different this time, and is apparently much faster than it used to be. BioWare said that the new Mass Effect will have an emphasis on exploration, and that the Mako will allow you to travel faster on alien planets. BioWare said that since you’ll spend a significant of time in the vehicle, it’s also considering allowing players to customize how it looks.

A significant of time? Oh please mother of god let the controls be better this time around. Maybe I wouldn't have mind the Mako as much if it didn't take forever to turn so I could avoid BEING SHOT AT!

Personally, I just hope it doesn't ruin your Exp gain this time. I'm so sick of killing Threshers on foot.


But will it still CLIMB the way we're used to?!

The Mako was infinitely superior to 2's planet scanning system that could genuinely send you to sleep.

Significant? I'm not sure how I feel about this. Not exactly thrilled though.

Awesome. I loved riding around it the Mako, and it really gave the universe a sense of scale that the later games sorely missed.

Yeah, I was gonna say that this is probably the longest a conversation has gone on about the Mako without someone coming in and slating it.

I remember driving around in that thing. It was amazing. That wall is vertical, but the mako does not care.
