View Full Version : Help me play through my Steam games collection!

So during last winter sale I bought quite a lot of games (it was my first sale on the Steam so I had a lot of stuff to get!) but to be honest I didn't play most of them yet.

I am currently enjoying my PS Vita gaming but I do that mostly in night, during day I sit in front of computer not knowing which game should I try. So I thought, why not let others decide for me!

I will post here everyday 10 random games from my Steam list and the next day I will play the game that gets most votes and post my review of the game here. So I will post first 10 random games on the end of the post and play the winner tomorrow.

Games for 31.7.

99 Spirits
Bastion
Braid
Evoland
Guacamelee! Gold Edition
Jamestown
Orcs Must Die! 2
Sacred Gold
Titan Quest
Tsukumogami

So you tell me what will I be playing tomorrow!

Played games:

I know about polls but I didn't find an option to delete old poll and make new poll for the same thread which is what I would need to do since it's going to be a daily thing. If it is actually possible then please enlighten me and I will definitely be making polls then.

Ah too bad.

But yeah I want to play new game everyday (of course if there are days that I am simply not at home, I will skip that day...), but I never said that I want/need to finish the game. I may as well just play hour or two for the first impression. I simply want to find my favorites from the >100 games I have on Steam and I think that this way I will enjoy it the most.

Guacamelee!

http://nerdreactor.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/guacamelee-logo-2.jpg

So this indie action platforming game is obviously based alot on the mexican culture which is seen in both the graphics (background of the cities, main character/enemies style) and dialogue.

http://s27.postimg.org/g29m7kbxb/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/g29m7kbxb/)

While I indeed find the art and dialogue charming and funny, the action platform game style is something I don't enjoy unfortunately (not saying it's bad, not at all, just not my thing).

Cherry Tree High Comedy Club

http://s11.postimg.org/7772w1zmn/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/7772w1zmn/)

So this game is basically a short dating sim but instead of trying to get a boyfriend, you run around with the game's eccentric bed haired redhead named Miley Verisse trying to get club members.

The story is based around making comedy club, because Miley wants to be a standup comedian and make people laugh. However to get the club started five people in total are needed. Miley and her roommate are two so in the month and half before 1st of May you need to get at least three people interested.

http://s11.postimg.org/4gt5l4djz/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/4gt5l4djz/)

There are total of six characters that you can invite to club and socialize with them. You need to get to level 5 in relationship with them before they sign up.

In order to socialize with them, you first need to know some topics to talk about, which can be achieved by such activities like watching TV, reading magazine etc.

http://s11.postimg.org/96j39q4kf/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/96j39q4kf/)http://s11.postimg.org/brt9azjbz/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/brt9azjbz/)http://s11.postimg.org/fzo1jqkrj/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/fzo1jqkrj/)

Each day is three parts long, like in Persona games. When you spend time with someone or do an activity, the time will move one part.

http://s11.postimg.org/xyipgylr3/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/xyipgylr3/)

The game is pretty drama free and is just really something to play without any thinking. It's not exactly the most polished game there is but it has cute anime-y graphics and good amount of humor. It also doesn't try to sell itself as something bigger, it's simple, short and it's good at what it does.

http://s11.postimg.org/z3hd02xlr/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/z3hd02xlr/)http://s11.postimg.org/d9epmjo2n/fin.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/d9epmjo2n/)

In the end I managed to get three members in time and finished the game. Though the game offers a New Game+ mode where you already start with your conquered members and so you can just aim to convince the others. Apparently when you get all 6, you get true ending. Even though I enjoyed the game, I won't be going for second playthrough. At least not yet. I actually may one day return to it and finish the game.

Here's a little gameplay right at the end of the game. Ending is recorded too so if you actually want to play the game, beware of spoilers!

tYLeUDs_Mro

Rating:

Objectively:

This game isn't really something mainstream and isn't trying to look bigger than it is. There aren't that many things to do so the game outside of second playthrough to get the rest of members offers low replayability.

On the plus side, the graphics, while simple are charmig, character designs are cute. The humor in this game is decent to keep you in good mood through the game, but it's nothing special.

5/10

Subjectively:

As I said the game isn't anything extra but for the short small game it isn't really all that bad. I enjoyed myself and I appreciate the game.

6/10

Well... I tired Half-Life today and... Nope again not my thing at all. I don't really enjoy FPS.

Oh well, I'll keep this short.

Half-Life

http://s10.postimg.org/3v1sp46j9/Half_Life_half_life_663708_1024.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/3v1sp46j9/)

Half-Life is now a well known legend for most gamers. This science fiction FPS was first released in 1998 so more than 15 years ago.

For such an old game, the graphics are pretty impressive, only thing that hit me really hard that there were TONS of copies of the same NPCs everywhere. I know it's old and stuff but when you meet like 4 NPC palettes everywhere it looks bad nowadays.

As for gameplay, there really isn't much better system of shooting/weapons today so it holds itself in that regard too. The overall physics in the game are pretty decent as well, so is movement. It kind of felt like Mirror's Edge sometimes.

http://s23.postimg.org/xi97koawn/340270_half_life_windows_screenshot_you_re_gonna.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/xi97koawn/)http://s23.postimg.org/uznijzp6f/halflife1.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/uznijzp6f/)

The story (of what I've seen mind you) looks like you - Gordon Freeman - work as pro physicist in secret underground lab with some mysterious material. You are experimenting with it but then of course something goes wrong and it somehow connects the place with some alien planet/dimension. Of course they are violent and start killing everyone.

Here's a little capture of my gameplay, as you can see I am pretty confused when it comes to FPS.

RK4HiA8613M

Well I stopped playing about hour and half into the game so I don't know more. Let's just move to rating.

Rating:

Objectively:

The game is a classic nowadays and is well known to everyone. And there are definitely reasons why. For how old the game is, gameplay is excellent, graphics are very decent as well and the story looks while maybe little cliché, still very interesting. For lovers of FPS, it's definitely a gem.

8/10

Subjectively:

I was never really a fan of the whole: here's your gun, now shoot stuff games and most of time not even a great story can keep me interested if all I do is shoot stuff while trying to stay alive and move forward.

I probably won't touch Half-Life again anytime soon and put it to rest of the FPS I won't be playing. But who knows, maybe someday, perhaps it will be an acquired taste for me.

5/10

Okay this may get me eaten alive and I understand that but seriously, not my kinda game. In my 15 years of gaming I really only finished like four FPS: first Halo, first two Metal Gear Solids and Mirror's Edge but that one isn't really about shooting so it doesn't even count. Plus I played Quake 3 Arena in school with friends but that's about it.

Well we will see what tomorrow game will be and what will be my opinion of that one. If you people vote though, seems like most of you aren't really interested in this a slightest bit :D Can't blame you though, my reviews aren't exactly of good quality >_>

Ohh votes for tomorrow are starting to accumulate :x So far three games - three votes!

Anyway I tried the World of Goo so here's my review of it.

World of Goo

http://s30.postimg.org/ge9zxouel/Wo_G_Box_Art.png (http://postimg.org/image/ge9zxouel/)

World of Goo is multiplatform puzzle indie game and pretty popular nonetheless.

The gameplay is simple, yet fun. The goal of the game is to solve how to get your balls of goo to drainpipe with at least x balls left. However the puzzles aren't always easy, there are many obstacles such as big abysses, wheels that destroy your goo, spikes that destroy your baloons and of course physics. The goo balls don't form solid connections and can easily fall apart if you build enough support.

There are also multiple type of goo. So far I've seen normal ones that connect permanently and green ones that can be reconnected but there are definitely many, many more!

http://s30.postimg.org/f1savswz1/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/f1savswz1/)http://s30.postimg.org/8a1vsy7zh/world_of_goo.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/8a1vsy7zh/)http://s28.postimg.org/a7898bhgp/World_of_Goo_550.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/a7898bhgp/)

The game has many levels that are also divided in few chapters and also a multiplayer mode. You see, in each level you need to save a set amount of balls but if you manage to save more, they will go to your multiplayer mode where you can then try to build the highest possible tower of them and compete with players worldwide in height.

http://s21.postimg.org/fxkc1zupf/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/fxkc1zupf/)

World of Goo also has really nice graphic and art style in my opinion. The music also fits the game good. Not too distractive but sounds nice. Also the balls of goo sometimes say something in Minion like voice so if you are fan of those yellow fellas it's great.

Here is a video of me playing some levels from first chapter:

hL6OGvN7OQQ

Rating:

Objectively:

The game has great diversity of levels and is very creative in it's art and style. It also offers good enough replayability with the goal of saving the most goos and building highest tower to compete with other players.

Definitely an amazing game in the puzzle genre that can be played at home or on the go depending what platform you play on and can be played even if you don't have much time because each level is swift if you know what to do.

9/10

Subjectively:

Pretty much what I said in objective part of the rating. I definitely like it and I am looking forward to playing it more.

The only reason I played just the first chapter of levels was pretty much because I don't want to finish this game in a day, I want to keep savoring it for a long time.

9/10

So, looks like I found my first real favorite from the games I've yet to play. Definitely gonna be part of my gaming list for quite some time.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

http://s16.postimg.org/axuu3tpm9/Brothers_A_Tale_of_Two_Sons_Wallpaper_HD.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/axuu3tpm9/)

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is very unique puzzle adventure game that came out just last years so it's still pretty new.

The story is, as name suggests, about two brothers, their mother died sometime prior the game and now their father is very sick and needs something to cure him from far away. Thus the brothers set out in the world with map to the place where they can obtain the cure and face many hardships, dangerous situations but also beautiful adventure on the way.

The gameplay is what this game makes really unique, you actually play as both brothers at once, if you play on controller (and you definitely should, keyboard really sucks for this), you control the older brother with left side and younger brother with right side of the controller which takes some time to get used to. You need to control them both to solve many of the puzzles so you can actually advance.

http://s16.postimg.org/wgg14lipd/brothers_main.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/wgg14lipd/)http://s16.postimg.org/amddr2969/Brothers_ATale_Of_Two_Sons3.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/amddr2969/)

Graphics... Those are absolutely stunning, the world is beautiful and very big, while the story is pretty glum, the world itself looks like taken straight out of fairy tale with creatures like trolls etc. And the game does know it's beautiful, there are actually benches set in the world where you can sit down and just watch the charming world for a minute.

For the music, there aren't really memorable tracks that will stuck in your head but rather perfecty complementing track for the world, very subtle yet very fitting. The language the brothers and all other people speak is as far as I know made up but after a while you start to understand basics, the game doesn't offer subtitles so it's left to your imagination.

As usual, here is some gameplay. If you haven't seen/played the game yet and don't know if you should get it, I reccomend to watch this one even if you aren't usually interested in my videos, just so you see how beautiful the game really is (mainly the paragliding is stunning).

Rating:

Objectively:

This game is absolute gem in everything it does. It has beautiful world with decent story to catch you and very nice style of puzzles. There isn't really anything wrong with the game.

10/10

Subjectively:

While this type of game isn't what I would normally choose to play, I love it very much, it's really one of the most beautiful (I used this world so much in this review it must mean something!) games I've ever played. I enjoy solving the puzzles and watching the big world around me. I also like that the story of the game is at least so far pretty glum yet it isn't overwhelming the fairy tale look of the game.

There is one and only one thing that I do have a problem with and unfortunately it is kinda big for me. The need to continuously hold the action buttons while climbing/pushing/holding etc instead of being on/off tap. I wanted to play through the whole game today but my index fingers really hurt from holding the action buttons all the time, not to mention my controller has those R1/L1 buttons cheaply made so sometimes even if I hold it down, it just stop working and I die. That also added alot of annoyance. Only thanks to this issue I am giving it 9 instead of 10

9/10

Really lovely game, I will definitely get back to it in a week or so to finish it. I definitely recommend everyone to play it.

When you got home to the island and had to use big brother's button to swim (and other things), that was such a great moment to me. It was a pretty simple thing but it hit me right in the feels when I figured it out.

Rogue Legacy

http://s24.postimg.org/z6t7tae4h/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/z6t7tae4h/)

This indie platform roguelike game came out just last year on mostly computers and sony consoles.

The game really is like an old rogue platformer in graphics, music and gameplay and man is it fun!

You play as a knight at first that you can choose from like three possibilities with different skills, traits (more to this later) etc. and start exploring a castle full of loot, monsters, treasures, traps, bosses and other stuff. Your goal at the start is really just to get as much gold as possible before you die (and you will die alot!) so you can purchase upgrades, hp bonuses, new equipment and all the fancies.

http://s24.postimg.org/e8n1v7e9t/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/e8n1v7e9t/)http://s24.postimg.org/q5a31xqtd/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/q5a31xqtd/)

To be honest I haven't really played many games like this so I don't know how unique the things this game does are or if they are a common in the genre so forgive me if I go on about something that's normal this time.

When you die, you will have to start your new character again from few options. The characters differ in classes (for example, Paladin who can block attacks, fragile yet powerful Mages, agile and deadly Ninjas etc.) that work as the base of the character status plus randomly generated traits like gigantism (your character is very big, stronger, more health but slower), shortshight (a small circle around the character is blurred a little) but even things like inverted camera which is lotsa fun. So pretty much each character is little bit unique.

Also you can see your dead characters as predecessors in the line as they died, which is interesting, I've yet to understood if the years given under them actually somehow refer to the length of gameplay or not.

http://s24.postimg.org/pjppjkl4x/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/pjppjkl4x/)

With the money you can not only buy new upgrades but also unlock NPCs that can then sell you better equipment, runes (higher jumps and stuff like that) and an architect. You see each time you die, the inside of castles changes unless you pay architect 40% of your found gold which can be worth it if you really like the current castle or you can simply ignore him and get new one next time you die.

One last thing I forgot to mention is that each time you die and start anew, you gotta pay toll to Charon (you know that mythology underworld dude) of all your money (or a part of it if you have upgrade to cheapen it) to enter the castle, so if you didn't make enough money on last run to buy anything, it will be all wasted so you actually gotta put in some effort!

All in all you want to get as strong as possible and get through the castle to kill the main boss. I don't know more about this though since I am far from getting there.

http://s24.postimg.org/hct4e95oh/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/hct4e95oh/)http://s24.postimg.org/83qy44wsh/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/83qy44wsh/)

The game is very addictive and with all the possible upgrades, combinations of character traits and new insides of the castle everytime there is really great deal of replayability and you could possibly spend tens of hours on this game without growing bored of it.

Again, here is some classic gameplay of the game:

Objectively:

The game is really enjoyable, has that great old school graphics most of us love the old school gameplay that offers hours of replayability and just as many hours of fun.

Subjectively:

I myself do not play this kind of games very often and thus I am not really good at them but man I am a sucker for playing the game again and again till I can get all those upgrades and stuff.

I really like this art style and I generally enjoy the gameplay even though it can be frustrating sometimes. I've only given the game about 2.5 hours so far but I will definitely be coming back again many times before I finish it whole

9/10

So yeah another game that I will be playing from now on along with World of Goo.

I wanted to ask you guys how do you enjoy my short reviews, what should I work on and what is okay the way I do it.

I mean I surely ain't no pro reviewer like ToriJ and I don't really plan to be, this little project of mine will probably cease to exist in a month and half when college starts but if there is anything I can change to make it more enjoyable for you all to read for that time, I will gladly do so.

So another indie game! It is 2D puzzle platformer and first released in 2010.

The gameplay... You play as one little character which can change it's gravity when standing on solid object and with this ability you try to go through levels of deadly spikes, deadly crosses and deadly everything basically. Each time you die, you start back from last checkpoint and there is no limit in how many tries you got. Which is good because you will die a lot if you suck like me. You really need good reflexes for the game.

Graphics are really simple and very old school which only gives the game charming look that fits it. Music is old school as well so you kind of feel like playing 20 years old game. There are really funny dialogues through the levels that will make you laugh, or at least smile a bit.

That's about it, here are my first and last 15 minutes of the game ever (It's pretty much me dying over and over and over again):

Rating:

Objectively:

The game is really nicely done and if you enjoy the oldschool graphics and music, you will like it very much. The levels are hard and very unforgiving. Seriously hit the spike by one pixel, bang you're dead. The dialogues in the game are funny. If you enjoy reflex based platformers, get this.

8/10

Subjectively:

I freaking sux at anything reflex based as you could see in the video. While I really appreciate the art style and the overall atmosphere of the game, in just fifteen minutes I was raging so hard that I am never playing it again.

3/10

Bastion

http://s27.postimg.org/haowp96lr/Bastion_Boxart.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/haowp96lr/)

Bastion is another indie game. This time it is Action/Hack&Slash RPG from 2011.

So what is Bastion even about? Basically you are what at first seems the only survivor of great apocalypse of the world and you are supposed to gather Cores - fragments of places in the old world - to Bastion to start new place to live and of course in doing so, save any possible survivor you find on the way.

The gameplay is mix between hack and slash like Diablo and action like... I dunno lol. You have three ways to attack, two weapons, one per each mouse button and special skill on Q. Also you can dodge attacks or parry them with shield etc. You go through the levels defeating enemies in your path while ideally destroying everything else like barrels, rocks, barricades etc. for this game's kind of money. Actually the path here is interestingly done because it just appears before your steps instead of being there in the first place giving off the illusion that the whole place is very dynamic.

http://s27.postimg.org/gvna73gdr/image.png (http://postimg.org/image/gvna73gdr/)http://s27.postimg.org/waqwnyj73/Bastion_122310_0001.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/waqwnyj73/)

The way you manage your weapons and skill is pretty much like in Bioshock or so to say. When you find new skills/weapons it gets automatically equipped and you have to use it till the end of the level but once you get back to the bastion, you can then select which weapons (one meele, one ranged) and skill you want to have. There are also other ways to upgrade your character with "drinks", one per each level. You can choose from things like more hp, better crit chance and so on.

The art style of the game is fantasy-like and it's very lovely and smooth as you can see in the screenies. The music is also well placed and helps with the pace of the game with how it changes during calmer periods and battles. The speciality of the game is that through the whole game there is narrator with very fitting voice commenting what you've done and it is seriously great and keeps you sucked in the game.

Some gameplay again:

TxPyf1iQfFA

Rating:

Objectively:

Bastion is overall very enjoyable game that is relaxing to play as most of the hack and slashes are. The story is interesting and is definitely there but if you don't want to you don't really have to follow it and just enjoy destroying things.

Art, music and narration are all perfectly done and there is really nothing bad about them.

Seriously if you enjoy this kind of games, get Bastion.

9/10

Subjectivey:

Pretty much all of the objective and more. I fell in love with Bastion and will definitely keep playing it as much as possible when I am not doing something else. I enjoy hack and slashes very much, the story of this game seems interesting, the narrating of what I do is something I find really great...

I also realy like the graphics of this game and it's smoothnes, seriously it's lovely to watch.

For me this game is a masterpiece

10/10

And with that I have another game I will definitely love and play alot :) I really think this thread was a good idea, as I don't know just when or even if I would get to play these games instead of just being bored and having too many games to choose from. Ys: Origins

http://s14.postimg.org/6rqkvrhjx/225154_aliya06.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/6rqkvrhjx/)

Ys: Origins is a action RPG game from Japanese name sharing series Ys. It first came out in 2006 but just in 2012 it actually got English localization and release on Steam. Chronologically the Origins is the very first part of the Ys series, happening about 700 years before the first Ys.

So what is Ys about? The world you live in used to be peaceful with two beautiful Goddesses and their six grand Priests protecting the harmony. One day though, giant army of demons appeared out of nowhere and chaos struck, Goddesses managed to lift the big city in the sky to protect it but after some time they suddenly dissapear. You and few other best people of the city are then sent back down to the demon filled earth to find the Goddesses before all is lost.

At the beginning of the game you can choose from two characters (later on third appears as well) and by playing the game with each of them, you can actually see more parts of the story.

http://s14.postimg.org/mehu94vbx/Ys_Origins_review_thumb_large.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/mehu94vbx/)http://s14.postimg.org/3v31okial/ss_027.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/3v31okial/)

As said at the start, Ys is action RPG so while you are trying to uncover the truth about what happened to Goddesses, you slash through many various foes, picking up loot, leveling up and all the other good stuff of the genre.

Graphically the game is manga styled and the intro is anime. As to how the actual in-game graphics style is called I've got no idea but you can see for yoursef in the screenies. Music and sound effects are once again well fitting and nice to listen to.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to play much of the game and I actually lost my whole unsaved progress as well today so I am unable to say much else about the game at the moment. However there is once again some of the gameplay:

6AucfhLQTDQ

Rating:

Objectively:

The game has very enjoyable gameplay and interesting story. Not to mention good replay value with multiple characters giving the game's story more points of view.

The graphics are in my book very nice but may not appeal to all and it could also be said that they are now somewhat aged.

8/10

Subjectively:

I really like this game from the start, anything anime-ish has half won in my book already and I actually enjoy the gameplay of the game and I am definitely interested in discovering the whole story of the game, multiple characters included.

Ballpoint Universe: Infinite

http://s2.postimg.org/tyabn9h3p/steamworkshop_collection_100519979_collection_br.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/tyabn9h3p/)

Ballpoint Universe: Infinite is more of a beautiful piece of art than a game but it came out last year in the genre of shoot-em-up adventure game.

From what I've played so far I am not really sure if there is actually a story to follow but so far it seems it's just one of those enjoy the game kind.

The gameplay is actually kind of surprising. At first I thought it was supposed to be mainly an adventure but it actually is 2D universe shooter.

The gameplay itself isn't what is so awesome about this game though. Seriously, as said before this game is a piece of art. Everything is drawn by hand with guess what? Ballpoint pen! It's incredibly beautiful and charming. The music is also very enjoyable.

9/10

I haven't read anything about Binding of Isaac before, but just now I read this review by Pokemaster73 on Steam:

YOU ARE A YOUNG NAKED BOY WHO SHOOTS SPOOKY MONSTERS IN THE BASEMENT WITH YOUR TEARS
IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS
THIS GAME IS LIKE ZELDA ON CRACK
IF YOU DON'T BUY THIS GAME YOU'RE MISSING OUT, MAN

So now my vote is for Binding of Isaac.

Let's move to CSTW review

Cthulhu Saves the World

Cthulhu Saves the World is made by two manned game developer Zeboyd Games. It is old school 2D RPG based on old JRPGs and of course literal work of H. P. Lovecraft.

CSTW is very interesting game, as one could already tell from the title. Main story of the game is that Cthulhu, once again emerges from the sea in full power in order to destroy the world but his evil powers get sealed by mysterious human magus and the only way he can get them back is if he becomes a true hero of the world. Thus his journey to become hero begins!

If that isn't one of the most awesome plots you ever heard about, then wait there is more. The whole game is frequently breaking the 4th wall when narrator explains things to player, Cthulhu hears him as well, not to mention he is aware that you are the player and are controlling him. Whole time you play the game makes fun of itself and is full of clever jokes that make you laugh all the time.

The graphics are set in the old school 16 bit, which is very fitting the spirit of the game and the music is like from the old times as well. It feels really like playing old JRPG.

Gameplay wise the game is old JRPG in most ways and that's the way I like it. Random battles, level ups, turn based first person battle style, everything is written, no voiced narration. You get new skills, items, equips, quests through the game and as you level up... Well simply the good JRPG stuff. There are four difficulty levels and then there are some bonus challenge stages that get unlocked after you finish the game for the first time, so there is a lot of replayability as well.

Here are first twenty minutes of the game:

Review:

Objectively:

Cthulhu Saves the World is awesome piece of "retro" rpg that had great humour, decent enough plot, elements from H. P. Lovecraft literal creation and seriously for two manned project is a very decent game if you are fan of this.

7/10

Subjectively:

My opinion? This games rocks! Seriously I laughed quite bit in the hour or so I played so far. I love the old styled graphics and battle elements and I also really like H. P. Lovecraft work so Cthulhu based game is great (Well this is based on the Lovecraft stories about as much as Haiyore Nyaruko-san! anime but still it counts!)

I will be playing this game later on like mad!

9/10

Srsly this game is gold. Definitely on my to play list for the near future.

Let's see if tomorrow's game will charm me as much!

CSTW is a good game, but it is their 2nd of 4 games, and they keep getting better in mechanical quality and execution, and their 5th game coming out soon (Cosmic Star Heroine) is going to be utterly fantastic. The 3rd and 4th game are tied to the Penny Arcade licensing which does a lot to change their appeal in some ways, but the next one is going to be entirely their own IP again.
