One of the problems with starting out on Twitch is finding viewers. Twitch lists streams prioritized by viewer count, so it's often the case that the big streams get bigger, and until you hit a critical mass of viewers, you will sit at the bottom of the list and stay there unnoticed.

So this site seems like a great idea to me: http://www.pwning.com/ This site visits a different unpopular stream every 15 minutes. Unpopular = low viewer/follower count. It's kind of an automated raiding system. The users of the site, currently about 50 of them, bounce from stream to stream and have the opportunity to chat and Follow and so on.

Logging in on this site itself, opting in to their system, and participating on the site, e.g. by voting on other people's streams etc., slightly increases your odds of having your stream picked by the system. See also http://www.pwning.com/about

There's also http://pwning.com/r/speedrun which is the above, but limited to streams of speedrunners.

I like this idea a great deal; unfortunately the site seems to be super laggy for me for some reason so I have to manually click on the "Watch on Twitch" button and then go back to the site to rinse repeat when I see the boost in viewer numbers leave.

I opted-in to this myself!

Weird. You're missing out on the voting, which is the best part. :(
