I prefer my burgers to have buns.

EDIT: And now that I think about it, all I can make out of this is that Fatburger want to cut costs and figured the buns were the best thing to throw out. What next? The bunless, pattyless burger (which apparently should not be confused with 'salad').

This thing and the double down from KFC both just seem smurfing stupid to me.


Now on the other hand, if it sells, go for it. You just probably won't see me buying one outside of a dare.

It actually makes sense if you are looking for a high-protein, low-carb meal. There are a lot of recipes in a similar vein for doing bun-less burgers.

The reason the KFC double-down was an abomination was due to both pieces of chicken being heavily breaded and deep-fried, and also slathered in salt. Assuming you could handle the grease, and you were really hungry, this might not be so bad.

The best burger I've ever had was at a small pub in Harlem, Netherlands. It was in a sub roll with two small like white castle size patties side by side with lettuce, ketchup, mayo and cheese. It was the best burger ever!

Yeah, this is pretty much for folks on a low carb diet or who have an allergy to bread or whatever the hell that is. I like me some buns, but I wouldn't turn this away if I was offered it.

And yes Fatburger is a real chain and it is delicious. It was the first place that I had a fried egg on my burger and it blew my mind.
