Will you listen to the English or Japanese?
I think I will go with English. Thanks for asking!

Hey some like Japanese with English subtitles for you know authenticity or whatever

English, cause that's what I speak and can understand.

Difficult to say. These days I usually go for the Japanese voice acting because localised games/TV series have some of the worst voice acting I've ever heard. But this one might be an exception to the rule

Yeah. I would taste test each and decide based on the flavor that suits me best

I'll be playing in English. I don't really see the appeal of authenticity in subtitles. If you're not fluent in the original language you're still getting the flawed translation, whether you're listening to it or reading it at the bottom of the screen.

Reasons I do watch subtitles:

the lines were dumb to begin with and it doesn't seem as bad when it's spoken in a language I don't understand
the dub has been white-washed, like turning innocent Japanese foods into jelly donuts for some reason
the acting is bad, like real bad

I'll go with English on account of being able to understand what they're saying. Very rarely do I find the voice acting in a lot of localized games to be that bad, but I seem to have a higher tolerance for this sort of thing than others.

I don't understand the Japanese language so I think the most logical answer here is English. Need to understand everything going on.

Depends how grating the dialogue and VA work is. Sometimes a badly written script can be saved by not having to listen to it in your native language. I'll probably do English but if proves bad, I'll switch to Japanese.
