Have you guys considered the fact that the .gif image creates a lot of stuttering when loading this site? I've tried a few different skins due to noticing the "stutter" the forum has, but I'm almost positive it's due to the site constantly having to load the favicon.

Just wondering if anyone can give me an answer about this, and if there's been considerations about perhaps using a still-image.

Thank you!

What makes you think it's the favicon? Your browser should cache the favicon on your first visit, so it's not from loading it. I can't imagine displaying the animation takes any notable amount of processing power, either. We can try replacing it with a still image if you want, but I'm curious about what makes you think it's that.

Did you get the problem in all styles? What browser are you using?

One of our technical admins a few years back mentioned something about .gif favicons, so I gave the bigger chance to it being that. I think I spoke to soon though.

Currently using FireFox, but the issue seemed resolved after signing out, hitting the remember me button and logging in. Sorry for the inconvenience!

This can be closed! =]

Glad it's resolved. Thanks for reporting the issue, even if it turned out to be nothing! :)

Please report more issues, it's the only way I get to see Rantzien post any more. :(

I'm too scared. What if he doesn't like me?
