Well according to some sites (http://www.thewrap.com/jared-leto-eyed-to-play-the-joker-in-wbs-suicide-squad-exclusive/), Jared Leto is being looked at to play the Joker in the movie "Suicide Squad".

Based on the DC Comic, “Suicide Squad” finds the government granting a group of supervillains a shot at redemption by sending them on a mission that will likely kill them all.

According to some, Ryan Gosling was a possible Joker but didn't want to sign for multiple movies. So far the few actors/actresses being attached is Tom Hardy, Will Smith and Margot Robbie. Also Jesse Eisenberg rumored to reprise his lex luthor that's suppose to be in Batman v Superman. Not sure what Tom or Will will play but Margot is rumored to be Harley Quinn.

WHAT THINK EVERYONE?

Too many rumors going on. They've said Gosling and Benedict Cumberbatch were in talks for Dr. Strange, too. I doubt any of these rumors will end up being true.

I would prefer fresh faces for all, but I'm just glad they are considering to include Harley in the Suicide Squad film.

I think Benedict Cumberbatch will be Dr. Strange, fo' sho'.

But yeah, the rumor thing has gotten out of hand. I hope whoever they choose, that person'll do a good job.

They're also talking about Jesse Eisenberg resurfacing as Lex Luthor, but I doubt that he will appear, either.

I still think Johnny Depp would make a better Joker.

You keep Johnny Depp the hell away from the Joker role.

But he never has played a character that acts odd and wears make-up before.

I don't want to be watching the movie thinking "I am watching Johnny Depp playing yet another typical oddball role". I want to be watching it thinking "I am watching the Joker". I don't mind Depp, but I can never stop seeing his eccentric makeup-heavy roles as "Depp doing Depp", and I don't want that for the Joker.

He would be playing it as Captain Jack Sparrow with face paint on. So in reality, he would be playing his same role as Tonto from The Lone Ranger.

Also, Willie Wonka and Jack Sparrow are absolutely nothing alike.

As far as I know, it's all still speculation :o Nothing confirmed yet, unless you know something I don't!

I think to break the mold Depp needs to do a movie under Tim Burton's direction. Burton is also married to Helena Bonham Carter, so she can be in the movie, too. Depp plays an eccentric character that speaks odd and has silly mannerisms. He will have an adventurous job to give his character a bigger excuse to act silly. Inspectors (of the detective type) usually get in wacky scenarios, so we'll go with that. Carter plays what appears to he Depp's love interest at first, but eventually becomes the crazy villain.

The design and color scheme of the movie should be dark and spooky with a little vibrant colors thrown in here and there (but be sure to keep the creepiness factor up) so tons of merch can flood Hot Topic for a month or two. Depp and Carter have to have human-like qualities, but be something weird yet easily recognizable so audiences will feel comfortable with the movie. In this case, they are ghost type characters. The movie will be called Inspectre Ghoulfield.

The movie also needs some playful, bouncy music so Burton would be wise to use Danny Elfman to score the soundtrack. Unrelated, but remember the show Duckman? The ending credit theme sounds like what would happen if Danny Elfman tripped and fell down some stairs. Look it up!

The movie needs a tagline, too. Let's assume the studio goes with a summer release. They are nervous about the film competing with major franchises, hyped up films, and the plethora of CGI children film sequels, so this will be a late May/early June release. Anyway, after the preview has shown the allotted amount of Depp making goofy faces, physical comedy, and Carter acting like she snorted enough cocaine to make an elephant fart to the moon, the preview dude will say, "Coming this summer...BE APART OF THE SPECTRECAL!"

Cut me a f***ing check, Hollywood.

No matter how superficial moviemaking may seem to be from the outside, they generally kind of need a script written before they can greenlight anything. Hopefully that makes sense.
