I finally looked up this Christmas Shoes song because I've never heard it before. It wasn't bad really; it was considerably more tolerable than most similar-sounding country ballads and it was approximately 123838236528 times better than that song Shauna subjected us to earlier :irked:

It's not a date rape song at all. If you REALLY listen to the lyrics, you understand the whole song is about her WANTING to stay but being too afraid of what society is going to say if she stays overnight with a man.

I get that sometimes, on occasion, that no does in fact mean yes. But I can't support songs that encourage that idea :P His whole "don't hurt my pride, your lips look nice, here's another drink" is so damn pushy, whether she wants it or not, the pressuring part of the lyrics just rub me the wrong way
