I'll chime in cause I loved Gambit when I first read the X-Men. Perhaps because I lived in Louisiana at the time, and he felt like a homer. I like how his superpower (as silly as it might be) ties into his character. And I like his swagger. Ain't nothin' wrong with that.

According to this source (http://wiki.shoryuken.com/X-Men_vs_Street_Fighter#Tier_List), Gambit is a top-tier character in his first 1-on-1 fighting game outing.

:D My brother and I used to play this game as a team (I guess on an emulator? maybe) and we'd switch up as Wolverine and Gambit.
