And what are your thoughts so far? I'm still at the beginning of the game (keep getting distracted), but I have to say that it has been quite fun revisiting this game. I'm glad I get to finally experience the Final Mix content.
Also, the work they've done on the ost is quite amazing.

I have to admit, I didn't really pay much attention and wasn't sure this was even coming out in america until I saw it in Target the other day. And for only $40, too! I'll pick it up someday and definitely be psyched about it. KH2 was my favorite of the series so far, and BBS was super fun too.
I bought it on December 2nd, but I haven't even removed the shrink wrap yet because I'm still busy with Assassin's Creed Unity.
I'm excited to play it. I'm just embarrassed as hell at the thought of playing through Atlantica in front of my significant other. :p

I'm playing through KH2 from the 2.5 HD Remaster with my girlfriend, then we'll go through Birth by Sleep.
I just started playing IIFM a few hours ago. I'm still on the Roxas portion. I don't recall it feeling so...long. :p
They did a nice job on upgrading the visuals. What I've heard of the redone soundtrack so far is pretty wonderful too.
I remember how laughably easy the original game was, so I was pleased to see an added "Critical Mode" which is what I'm playing on.

Critical Mode gives you a bunch of stuff from the get go that kind of negates some of the difficulty, but it's still kicking my butt just do to having less health. I'll be fine once I get Second Chance (I think that's the skill), but until then I've been getting killed pretty easily.

Just purchased it today. Sad I couldn't find a Limited anywhere, really wanted that pin. :(

I did II FM on Critical. Now I am currently on Critical Terra.

Started yesterday. Currently playing Terra Critical. It's still fun, but I don't remember the levels being so small. Still good however and the upgraded graphics are nice. My plan is to do a 100% run through of all KH games chronologically before 3 comes out.
I bought it and have it now... but I still have 1.5 Remix here in its wrapping. I'm trying to decide if it's worth my trouble going through 1 again before playing 2.5.
The thing with KH1 is... I mean it's good and all, but I'm basically only playing it to get to one scene that I love.

Are you going to play through 358/2 Days and Chain of Memories at the same time? I feel like those games intersect quite a bit. I was going to try to do this once but ended up not having the time for it.

I finally picked up my copy last night. It has been a great trip down memory lane so far. Actually, it has been so long since I have played this game that I forgot how addicting and fun it was(even though some of the Disney hokey-ness I still find a bit embarrassing). I decided to do a play-through on normal difficulty before trying critical. Then I will probably delve into the other game.
I have not been playing Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD ReMIX.
The chain has been broken.
I decided not to do 1.5 before playing this in the end. KHI is good and all just... I only have a few days of holiday before work starts again! Gotta make 'em count.
Really impressed with the job they've done so far. The extra scenes from Final Mix are cool, the HD upscale is very nicely done, and the remastered soundtrack is great. They've replaced so many of the cheap sounding pieces from the original with really high quality arrangements.
Although I was playing Dark Souls yesterday so it's still really weird not having a 'roll' button.

I still prefer KHI to KHII. I think a lot of it is nostalgia. It's a comfort game for me. I just get more satisfaction out of playing and beating it though.
I have to say that the final mix version of II adds a whole lot more than the final mix of one, and it's making it feel like a whole new experience for me. It's nice.

There is a roll button. You just need to level up the Limit Form.

I've been playing BSS as Aqua recently. My sister has been playing KH II. We've really enjoyed this games over all. We are very happy.

So in KH2 FM Proud Mode I'm level 60 with all my forms/summon leveled up to max. Everything has been quite easy so far, but the battle with Roxas at The World that Never Was has me really stumped. I feel quite bad. Any tips? :(

Reflect, Limit and Drive pretty much win the battle automatically. When he does his super attacks you only need to dodge.

Yeah, I die a lot because it doesn't take very many hits to kill you and the wait for your MP to recharge so you can heal again really screws you over a lot in critical mode.

Thanks, I hadn't really used my Limit drive form except for leveling it up. Helped a lot. :)

To my amusement I ended up with the original KH II game for PS2 as a Christmas present.
I beat my first Absent Silhouette today. Wasn't as tough as I was expecting, but I was about 10 levels higher than it was maybe expecting and I'm only on Standard mode.
The extra story can get quite confusing sometimes as a bunch of the extra scenes for Final Mix come from Organisation XIII pre-Chain of Memories, but there's no way to distinguish that. So if you, like me, didn't play CoM and keep up with the story through it, it doesn't make much sense! "Wait... this character was defeated? But they just showed up in a cutscene 5 minutes ago!"

Hahahaha. Finished Terra on Critical and everything you could do in his journal before beating it, saving, and starting Ventus. Then I promptly saved right over the TERRA SAVE!!!
Raaaarrrghhh!!!!!:mad2:

Oh man, that sucks. That was legit my worst fear when it came to BbS.
Welp, it finally happened. I just got to TWTNW and I'm at the newly added Roxas battle and I'm going to have to grind. I can not beat him. :p

Yup! He's a bit of a bastard! I found having a couple of limit forms levelled up to get stuff like Quick Run was handy with evading some of his silly attacks.

These abilities help immensely. Aerial Dodge especially has gotten me out of many tight spots.
