I like Red XIII. I don't mind Tifa, Barret, or Cait Sith. I don't like the rest

I love RedXIII and Cid. Vincent was my favorite growing up. I like everyone except Aeris.

I really like RedXIII and include him in my party as much as possible even though he doesnt have as much game play advantage as some of the other characters.

The characters' playstyles do not differ enough from each other for me to make an assertion about them, based on playability.

Their appearances and character traits are all you have to go by, really. Gameplay-wise, they are almost exactly the same, with the exception of stats (which can be manipulated) and gender (which cannot, and only applies to the few pieces of gender-specific equipment in the game).

Cloud is one of the best characters in the whole series, let alone just among VII's playable cast.
