I don't have one, but the way things are, I'll probably have to get one someday.

Does one of Huawei and Advan include? If yes, then I have them, but I wouldn't call them some average smartphone. Because got to many lag issues, with their low spec to be called a smartphone.

A smartphone isn't defined by its speed, but its features, daniel.

If you can install your own (advanced) applications, it is a smartphone.

I had a smartphone before touch became the new standard. After I lost that one, I went back to a dumphone by accident because I didn't read the feature list well enough when I bought it online, then after that I got a HTC Desire X and now I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

It's not about "need", ToriJ. It's about "want" :p. You don't need a PS4 or XB1 either, you can just play on PS2 instead :p.

I plan to get one mostly for the ability to play mobile exclusive games. I don't make that many calls.

Yup, just got an iPhone 5c. The camera is just totally killer, I'm gonna make some awesome videos soon.

I can send group text messages, I can send photos in messages, I can send voice memos, I can do all kinds of crazy shit with this thing.

I bet I could turn it into a universal remote control, too!

Nope. Why? Because if I go with the same phone company (which allows me unlimited text and talk with Joe Bryan's phone) it would be minimum $80/month. My phone is $25/month. Much more affordable and I don't even like using the internet on my phone anyway. I would like a nicer phone just because this one is kinda poo but I don't need a smart phone

I guess my one problem with my $25/month plans is that they only have one phone with a slide out keyboard and it's expensive :( I hate touch screens

Yeah, it makes life easier.

Also, it's great for goofing off and having other people judge me harshly in public.

Yes I do, because I love the camera on it and having my apps on the phone.

Yeah I have an S4 but I only recently started using it. I never bothered with smartphones prior because I already have an ipad that I travel to uni with and stuff (and the battery lasts much longer) so I never saw the need, considering I mainly txt anyway. My boyfriend gave me his S4 because my previous phone wouldn't let me take calls or txt anymore so.....yeah.

Yes. It's my mini computer. I do almost everything I do on my computer short of photoshop and some gaming.

I have a Galaxy S4. Best phone I've ever owned. Had an iPhone 3G before that, it was my first smart phone.

Can't imagine living without one now

I find it astounding that there were people (presumably of my generation) who didn't have a smartphone as recently as 2015. How was the reception on your tin cans and string?
