Gematsu.com reported following Final Fantasy XV's latest appearance at Jump Festa this past weekend, Famitsu revealed a whole slew of news regarding this long awaited game.

The character models will be much more advanced than any other Final Fantasy before it. Data capacity for textures will be much higher. Each frame will carry 5 million polygons, with the inner hair of each character having 20k. Character models will each be supported by 600 bones, which is about 11 times the last generation's.

Restalm, the game's setting for the first half of the game, is inspired by the Bahamas. Towns will be filled with hotels and stores for your character to shop in, where one of the things that can be purchased are cooking ingredients.

Camps will be safe havens, and players will also be able to rent chocobos as well as ride in the car. The mechanic, Cindy, will move around the game as you do.

One of the biggest changes from the older Final Fantasy games is that Magic no longer consumes MP. Instead, it's used for special moves and warping, which was presented in an earlier preview.

Combos are formulated based on the weapon equipped, which several can be equipped at once (with one main weapon). Rare weapons will be found in dungeons, for example, the floating Phantom Sword would be a special weapon. Advanced players will be able to parry enemy attacks by matching the timing of their strikes.

Speaking of enemies, Summons have to be defeated before they join your quest. Then only Noctis will have the ability to summon them into battle.

Currently, Final Fantasy XV is at version 1.4. The demo, for those who are lucky enough to get it with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, will be 1.5. The plan is for the final version to be 2.0 for it's yet to be announced release.

Ah, don't you love it when the right step to take is the one back to what they were always doing!

Square-Enix is kinda making the face a kid makes when he gets caught sneaking into the candy drawer: ^^;
