You may have individual favorite games that are or aren't from this franchise, but when it comes down to a series, how does FF rank? Is it your favorite?

Yes.

I enjoy playing a variety of games, but there's no feeling like that #NewFFFeeling.

Yes, yes it is.

I'd say probably so. I've played most of the games in the series, the only mainline ones I missed are XI, the Lightning Trilogy & XIV. I have to say that I pretty much love all of the ones I've played, on some level.

No, that belongs to either Pokémon or Zelda.

Eh... It's in my top 5.

It's my dearest number two. Bonus points to the EoFFer who can guess what's on top.

Yes, but only because other games I greatly enjoy either aren't part of a series, or the other games in the series aren't all that fantastic.

An amusing amount of games in the series I either haven't played or did not enjoy. There's only like two that I really love. And just one or two that are mostly just enjoyable. But that's about it. For such a long-running series, it's ratio of enjoyable games to me is pretty low. And by that standard I'd say even the Tales series ranks higher for me. But I wouldn't say they're my favorite either

Second favourite. Shenmue comes first, but Final Fantasy was far more affluent in their releases so I play more Final Fantasy than Shenmue.

As far as what I would call the best game series of all time, yes, FF knocks out Metal Gear and Dragon Quest. But as far as series I'm a fan of today, I'm much more excited for The Phantom Pain and The Witcher 3 than I am for FFXV or Type-0.

Absolutely, in addition to containing my #1 and #2 favourite games.
However that is just riding on the NES-SNES-PSX generation. I can't even say that at this point I am excited to hear news about the latest entry.

Yes it is. Without hesitation.

Probably, yeah, but that could be subject to change if I ever found another series I liked a played a lot in it. Final Fantasy kind of wins by default because it's the series I've played the most games from.

I chose "Other."

It's in my top three. And by top three, I mean I mostly play from three key series with some other games hiding in my stacks. I mostly play Mega Man (mostly Classic, X, and Legends), The Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy. At this point, I can't really decide which series I like best. Mega Man is there for when I want an action game, Zelda is my go-to adventure, and Final Fantasy is my RPG of choice.

Every now and then one series will try another genre. Mega Man had the Zelda-like Legends series while the Battle Network series and X: Command Mission are RPGs. Zelda... well, Adventure of Link had a leveling system, but that's about it. And Final Fantasy has action games and adventure games.

So really, I'm pretty set (and happy!) with all of these. :D

I want to say yes, but probably no. There are too many titles in FF that I'm not as enthusiastic about as my favourite few, really. It is a close second though.

No, probably not, though I do enjoy most games in the series; if anything I'd guess the MM series is my favorite.
