Ah yes, the most glorious city-building series of all time. Have you played any of these fine games?

SimCity 2000 back in the day, and SimCity 4. I dunno, they hold my attention for an hour or two. Then they go back in the box for another 10 years. =)

Yes. A lot. Even the new ones. I love them.

I try to convince people I'd be a good mayor or city manager around here because i've played a lot of SimCity. I mean it's not THAT hard. Right?

I've played an unreasonable amount of 2000 and 4, a decent amount of the original, and a little of 3. Never get around to Societies or 2013.

No. The only game I played slightly close to this was Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2.

I played a bit of SimCity 2000 and couldn't work out how to play it because I suck. :(

I played a lot of the original, some of the SNES port, and just a little of the second done.

I've played them, yes. I just really, really SUCK at the games.

Disasters wrecking my town worse than I was wrecking them with my horrible SimCity skills were the best parts of the game.

2000, 3000 and 4. I can make a reasonably sized town before I get bored and throw down some disasters.

I've played the first four, though 2000 was the only one I spent a lot of time with.

My first experience was SimCity on SNES and in ways I prefer it over the PC version. My next was SIMCity 2000 for Win95 which I spent a ton of time on. I also played SIMIsle and SIMTower back in the day, as well. Didn't play 3000 and I bought 4 and didn't get too involved with it.

Haven't played much since.

On every computer I have ever played Sim City games on, they have crashed out on me on numerous occasions. It's really frustrating. But yeah, definitely played 'em a lot. Is it just me they tend to bug out on? I dunno.

I was terrible at SimCity 2000 and too young to really understand or have the patience for it. The next one I played was SimCity 2013. Oops.

Now, of course, we are mere days away from Cities: Skylines taking the crown as the new Great City Builder Of Our Time

Not exactly a SimCity game, but it was in a similar vein. Found this rummaging around looking for games today, SimTown! It was a simplified version of SimCity, aimed more towards kids who want to play SimCity without overwhelming them. I don't see it that often in the PC game lots where they're trying to get rid of older PC games that take some doing to run (which if you have the tools and resources, you can still play these on Win 8).

I didn't have issues with the early titles on Mac but, Sim City 4 was horribly buggy and had a lot of performance issues.

Love SimCity. Played it a lot as a kid, and I go through fixations every few years. I find it more satisfying than The Sims.
