Anyone other than Manus still keeping up with things? I've finally been able to keep up a little better with New Zealand thanks to an app on my phone that keeps me posted on things, so I'm getting back into the cricket world and I gotta say I'm loving it.

Dude I am so cricket right now. World Cup coming up, NZ v Sri Lanka/Australia v India all night on Sky Sports, BBL, and plenty of England woes to complain about. Haven't picked up a bat since last August and I am now without a team since moving to Cardiff. Planning on getting some coaching at Glamorgan CC to stop myself getting rusty.

Man, you've probably seen more NZ than I have then. xD I keep forgetting to turn it on when it's playing (either that or something else is being watched). Been keeping up with the scores, though, pretty happy with how things went for us in 2014, and 2015 isn't going too badly thus far. :D

No.

Cricket isn't real.

was sitting in a pub after work the other day with an Aussie co-worker of mine and there was a baseball game on TV and all the natives were getting well into it and we were just sitting there absolutely lambasting how shit it was compared to cricket. so unbelievably dire.

been following it on and off lately, my down period co-incided with all my youth heroes retiring from the India team and now I'm finding it hard to reconnect with the players who I don't know, especially without having any access to it on TV.

I hear that. Thankfully some of the players I knew really well in the NZ team are still there, but some others I don't recognise at all. Will take some time to get back into the swing of things, methinks.

Brendon McCullum is an absolute boss of a cricketer I tell you what. I watched his could-have-been-the-fastest-double-ton-of-all-time-by-a-mile the other day and it was just sublime. When he got out on 195 he should have done a WG Grace and just stood there refusing to leave.

Genuinely gutted I didn't get to see it. I still remember watching Astle's innings way back when and still to this day am utterly miffed he didn't get Man of the Match. Never liked that MotM is obligated towards the winning side.
