What is your favourite part in this game? Not location but section. There's a lot of good ones to choose from

I personally like when you first go to the Calm Lands the most. Before you get there, so much stuff happens. The Calm Lands is like a hop, skip, and a jump from Macalania, but first you end up killing Seymour, then you end up mixed in that whole Home incident, then the whole Bevelle section with going to prison and everything, then you end up BACK at Macalania for that love scene with Tidus and Yuna.

The Calm Lands is things finally getting back on track, but you can still feel the heavyness on everyone from all the stuff that had just happened before they got there. It's also so plain and still in contrast to the more action heavy scenes which lets it sink in that the journey is (they think) coming to an end soon. I found it very atmospheric

The sending in Kilika. It's a beautiful scene and it sent shivers down my spine the first time I played through the game.

The part where Kimahri beats up Matt & Psychotic... I mean Biran & Yenke.

The Calm Lands is actually my least favorite part of the game...and I say that not based on my feelings, but on evidence: I've quit playing at the Calm Lands at least twice. I'm pretty sure it's because I level up on the Highbridge for 10-20 hours, and then once I get out of there I'm like "Oh...there's more game." And I also don't really enjoy Mt. Gagazet that much, so it's kind of deflating.

My favorite story segment is probably either early on in Besaid (love Besaid!) or...um...hmm. Dang, I can't pick. This whole game rules.

My favorite non-story segment is the Monster Arena in general: capturing everything, fighting the super hard enemies, beefing up the sphere grid. Yummy.

I think Luca and Mt. Gagazet are my favorites overall, with honorable mentions to the Calm Lands and Bikanel. But like metagloria just above me, it's hard for me to pick strong favorites because this game is awesome in my eyes.

Definitely the part when where you reach Zanarkand Ruins until after Yunalesca's disposal,

The soundtrack there is superb, so is atmosphere. The first time you actually realize that camp you stop in is where the game intro is set to, it's the place where the game changes from being told by Tidus to you actually going through the rest of their stories with them. The build up for the last part of the game there is intense. Easily my most favourite part of this game.

My favorite part would be rescuing Yuna from the Al Bhed and playing Blitz Ball for the first time!

Another favorite part would be going to Guadosalam to see Seymour and thats where you get hit with a lot of story and dialogue with Seymour failed plan of wanting to wed Yuna so he can become Yuna's final Aeon and become the new Sin. Anyway, some of the best stories of the game.

Either Zanarkand or Macalania with the part where you fight Seymour for the first time. It's that moment when you've known for a while that Yevon is rotten, and the bubble finally bursts. I love that whole section.

I agree that it's pretty hard to choose.

Fighting against Yu Yevon.
Why?
Because this is where the protagonists finally break the spiral of death - this is the most meaningful moment in the game, IMHO.

The ruins of Zanakard when you reach the dome and the confrontation with Yunalesca that follows.
