Maester Seymour and the Belly of Doom

What the hell is up with Maester Seymour's Belly?

Maybe I'm just used to my Final Fantasy characters being the picture of perfection but every time I see him it properly creeps me out. I'm determined to finish FFX this time but I really don't look forward to his appearances.

Is anyone else affected as badly as me?

He's definitely got some weird muscle definition going on but I give it a pass considering that he also has claw like hands, glowing blue veins on his face and hair that literally defies all laws and logic.

You see it's just all wrong. The bottom of his robes puff out indicating a bit of a pot belly. He has tattoos on his chest area, chest hair in the middle, then a nicely shaved pot belly at the bottom. I mean, what kind of a look is he going for here?!

As soon as I saw the smurfer I knew I didn't like the look of him.

In that picture though, there's no indication of a pot belly. His stomach is perfectly flat there, as far as shading shows. xD His robes just puff out because... design choice.

OK, maybe not the best example of it when he's stood still. When he's walking around though you see it moving and it properly freaks me out!
