I love most of the soundtrack. The music that plays at the Gardens, Dollet, Timber, Deling City, when the Sorceress appears, and the different battle themes.

Favorite is probably the first song you hear in the opening.

Lately I have mad Deling City's theme stuck in my head for no real reason. I haven't played through FFVIII in several years, but I really dig that theme. It brings me back to positive memories I have around the time I first played the game (when it was brand new) for whatever reason.

I have four favorites.

The orchestrated version of The Oath. That is epic-ness just waiting to happen. The Landing. My Mind, and SeeD.
Gosh...it's funny. If I'm about to write or illustrate a dramatic scene, I listen to both SeeD and The Oath to get my brain flowing.

I loved fighting Diablos with Laguna's party BECAUSE of their fight theme. Great. Now I feel like playing this game again. Gosh, I really enjoyed the battles. ...Oh and "Love Grows," both versions.


See now, I just remembered one more, "Drifting"---and with that, I'm officially done. No, wait, Shuffle and Boogie, too...>_> Okay, "Junction" ---Alright, how about this?

I agree, VIII has such a great soundtrack and the opening song really sets the tone.

Ive just started playing 8 again solely for a carefree playaround (i have 3 other VIII saves that are all about the game completion) the main reason is to listen to the best final fantasy soundtrack ive ever heard.

I love: Balamb Garden's theme, ordinary battle theme, ordinary boss battle theme, rescuing Rinoa from space theme

I like: the world map music (the only one I can think of that keeps the same world map theme all the way through) and many many others
