Absolutely delicious

Today's topic: Do s'mores taste just as good when made in the microwave, or do these truly require a campfire?

SMORES ARE THE GREATEST INVENTIONS OF MANKIND EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD

edit: the are not as great in the microwave. They are as great if you take a torch to them. It's the fire-roasted burnt quality that you want :jess:

Toaster oven does a better job of recreating a campfire than the microwave.

It's not the same, but much closer.

I think s'mores cooked on the grill are slightly better in taste then cooked in a campfire.

campfire is best. The smoke just gives it this extra flavor that you don't get in a microwave. The social aspect of it also makes it better, I think there's some study out there that shows we react more positively to food and the like when there's other happy people around.

Oreo has s'mores, w/ a graham cracker cookie & marshmallow & chocolate cream.

Has anyone tried making s'mores with anything other than Hershey's chocolate? It seems like such a mainstay that it doesn't even compute at first to use anything else.

Ugh, no, you can't make them in a microwave, you need a proper fire. And not like cardboard fire! Go into the woods, gather some sticks and dried leaves, build yourself a survival fire then HUNT DOWN THE MARSHMALLOWS AND ROAST THEM ALIVE.

Is it possible to make s'mores in a stove? Now I kinda want some.

When I had a gas stove, I just turned it on, lit the marshmallows on fire, and let them burn. I no longer have a gas stove, so now I just use a lighter torch. I ate smores every night in April after Justy and I got back from camping until I ran out of graham crackers.

I will either die from cancer from the gas stove/lighter or from diabetes from the smores. Worth it.

I have made 'smores' in the UK with digestive biscuits, marshmallow, and cadbury's chocolate under the grill. They were fine.
