out of the 9 i have completed. 1 is my least favourite. however i played a bit of X-2 and it was pretty good. really tough choice for me but.....uh... i... choose FF1. though FFx-2 is pretty good too. ( heh they both use job systems-ish)

Final Fantasy may have been where it all started but I barely played it. X-2 on the other hand I completed and I actually enjoyed playing through it. That's not to say that I didn't cringe at certain parts of the game xD But it's fun to play and the battles are fast and fluid. The story might have ruined the ending for X but with it enabled a half decent story to come out of it, and I enjoyed finding out about Shuyin and Lenne. Talking of them, the 1000 Words cutscene is probably one of my favourite cutscenes in a Final Fantasy game.

Well that, and X-2 has aged very well within the fandom. It has a fantastic battle system.

FFI, I never really agreed with most fans that X-2 had the best battle system since it still had a few annoying quirks that undermines it for my taste. I never could stomach X-2 to play it more than once, whereas I find something new to like about FFI each time I play through it.

oh now theres 3 groups of light warriors... well i think were safe against chaos's legion. though chaos's most elite unit is the Gullwings Special Forces and is said to be the toughest opponent for the light warriors. today the Light warriors are outnumbered by 2 but tommorow we will Fight! This is quite an interesting poll from an historical perspective:

On the one hand we have a game which was made as a last resort of sorts, the Final Fantasy, of a struggling company.

On the other hand we have a game which was made as a cash grab of sorts due to how this same company found itself in financial trouble after the failure of the movie The Spirits Within.

But the whole Charlie's Angels/Sailor Moon and blatant jpop culture infusion is rather cringe worthy as is the characterisation and the overall tone of the game specially as it relates to Yuna. And then there is Brother...oh brother.
