Google issues?

Sorry if this is stupid

Google on the laptop (using Safari 5.1.10) uses the older Google. So like for images, you can't just click the image to see it, it will redirect to the webpage with the image. It's nothing major but it is getting pretty annoying.

Anyway to fix it?

It looks like Safari 5.1 is relatively old, so it's possible that Google is automatically reverting to simpler behavior for compatibility purposes. Web functionality changes pretty frequently so a lot of sites use broad compatibility checks like this to guarantee things work well.

The simplest solution might just be to update your browser and/or use an alternative like Firefox or Chrome.

Thanks Shoeberto! It was giving me some issues trying to get a newer Safari, which I'd tried a few times over the past month, so I just went ahead and got Firefox like on my PC. Muuuuch better
