"I've seen things you've only seen in your nightmares. Things you can't even imagine." - Jumanji

Do any of you have a Jumanji animal? A real world animal, so terrifying, that you believe it should only exist in your game of Jumanji? An animal that could only have been created by some malicious act of God to frighten you with the exact manifestation of your deepest predatory fears? Because I do. And an honorable mention.

First, meet the Mandrill(Mandrillus sphinx):

An adult male can way over 80lbs and have 2"in+ canines. And has so much testosterone that his face, arse, and hair turn red, blue, and gold. Attacks and deaths on humans are rare but not unheard of.

Honourable mention: Large Flying Fox(Pteropus vampyrus)

Meet the largest bat in the world. They can have up to a 6' wingspan. This thing looks like it was spawned by the Devil to torment people lol. They are actually considered "cute" by a surprisingly large amount of people. Here's a video of one being fed grapes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t26UZM70YzY), and one wrapped up like a puppy/pet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJENtGFfCJI).

Yes, those giant moths with horrifying wingspans. And no, I don't care if they can't hurt you. They are terrifying.

I have a legitimate moth phobia. No one ever takes it seriously and every time I bring this up people start to spam me with moth pictures. Not even a little bit fucking funny. :(

I took some super macro pictures of a few moths that came into my house last summer. Do you want to see them?

I'd prefer if we didn't joke about things that send me into serious panic attacks, thanks

Anglerfishes of a general assortment. Namely, Fanfin Seadevils.

Star-nosed moles upset me greatly. Something off about them that disturbs me.

I was honestly going to list javelinas but then I found this photo and I just couldn't :(

Deep sea creatures are mostly the things of my nightmares. But unless they grow legs, I'm okay.

Flying foxes are cute. :(

Especially the babies. I mean, most baby mammals are cute by definition, but just look at this:

Heck, their primary diet is fruit! Is a little guy munching on a grape really so scary?

As for moths...

I'm so sorry, Pike.

I don't care about cartoon or video game moths. They don't look like moths to me.

Perhaps because it looks like a furry bifurcated face vagina with tentacled vulvae?

I live just a couple minutes from where the events from the movie Mothman took place. My grandmother and mother lived on the Ohio side near the bridge when all that happened and swears she saw the Mothman. Shortly after those incidents, she had a nervous breakdown and a miscarriage. Needless to say, she's not so fond of moths, either, but she does have drawings she made during that time. I would post them, but I respect your fear, Pike. I can't abide spiders, even harmless ones.

If I were dropped into a large body of water, my Jumanji animal would be absolutely any large outline I can see in the distance. Coming closer. This picture is the stuff of nightmares because of the things you can't see.
