FFXV Demo: Will it get delayed?

Call me pessimistic but I have a feeling that we won't be able to play the FFXV demo for at least three weeks after the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Square Enix haven't exactly confirmed that it will be ready for launch, choosing to word it more carefully like "we're aiming for...".

If this did happen then how would you react?

I'm optimistic. Here's the Type-0 Day One cover. It says it includes the playable demo. There's no asterisk where fine print says "when it's ready". I at least hope when March 17th comes around, we have a solid ETA. I'm very excited about both games.

By the way, something I just noticed: Do you think this will be a highly sought after item thanks to the Type-0 typo? lawl

I'm also excited for both. We need to get more hype around here for Type-0 seeing as we can now officially say "it's releasing next month!" :D

And yeah, I guess no asterisks is a good sign. Fingers crossed!

I wouldn't care because I'd be getting Type-0 for Type-0, but it also wouldn't surprise me that the game that's taken eight years to develop would take three weeks just for people to play the damn demo.

I echo ToriJ in that I am not really too bothered about getting the demo. I'm more interested actually in seeing Type 0. I'd not mind if a demo never came out, because I'd probably be buying XV when it is released anyway, due to my Final Fantasy deep-set fanboyism.

But...it wouldn't be surprise if there was a delay. I imagine it'll only be an online code anyway, so there is wiggle room to delay the demo but ensure that Type-0 isn't delayed because of some little bonus incentive.

This may sound selfish but I kinda hope there's abit of a delay. Here in Australia we get Type-0 on the 19th instead of 17th. Gonna be pissed if we get the demo two days later then everyone else :P

Although I guess with timezones it's more like one day later but still...

Haha my mistake, Guess I should be grateful. Better then the 6 months we used to have to wait.

It definitely seems by the packaging that it will be available day 1. SE is gonna be getting alot of heated messages if not.

Honestly? I'd be annoyed, and amused at the same time. I mean, that would be just typical for this game, which is basically the Duke Nukem Forever of the here and now. Everyone's all excited to FINALLY get a piece of it and then even the freaking demo gets delayed. I'd laugh. :p

I doubt it will get delayed though. From the sound of it, it's going to be released as is. Which kind of worries me about how much it will make or break the ongoing hype, seeing as, according to most of the more recent articles, the demo will hardly be representative of the final game.

Yeah, I made this thread before it was confirmed that the demo will be available at launch time ^^

As for it breaking the hype. Who knows? I'm sure SE will be putting their all in to this, so hopefully that shows. It's looking fantastic!
