Welcome to Cid's Workshop! This is your new one-stop shop for questions and discussion on computers, smartphones, gadgets, gizmos, and almost anything else that is mainly electronic in nature.

If you're not 100% sure about what to talk about in the Workshop, here's a quick guide:

GOOD to post in Cid's Workshop:

Questions or discussion regarding computer hardware, software, non-game programs, the internet and so on
Questions or discussion regarding cell phones, smart phones, apps and accessories
Questions or discussion regarding other gadgets like e-book readers, tablets, and the like

NOT SO GOOD to post in Cid's Workshop:

Questions or discussion on video games - these should go in the correct gaming subforum for your game.
Asking for help or advice on your life in general - these types of threads now go in The Lifestream (http://home.eyesonff.com/forumdisplay.php/212-The-Lifestream).
Technical issues specific to EoFF - 404 pages, weird theme issues, strange ads that you only get here, etc. These go into the new Bug Reports & Technical Issues forum. (http://home.eyesonff.com/forumdisplay.php/219-Bug-Reports-amp-Technical-Issues)

Obviously there are some topics that are borderline, so in that case, poke a staff member (http://home.eyesonff.com/showgroups.php) or just use your best judgement. Say, for example, if you had a question about budgeting software. If you are mostly interested in a list of software and their pros and cons, the thread would be at home here. But if you wanted more in-depth information on starting a budget and dealing with finances, you may be better off making a thread in General Chat or The Lifestream.

Well, that about covers it. Let's get techy!
