View Full Version : Are you a procrastinator?
Do you tend to put a lot of things off?

I have two stages. Either I will get something done IMMEDIATELY and get it done in plenty of time, or I'll wait until the very last minute. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground

Yes. Very much so. Extremely so. Currently doing it right now with my workload at work.

Sporadically.

Sadly, yes. But I do often get things done right away if I'm motivated.

Oh god yes I am. A university assignment that allegedly takes a dedicated week to fulfill? You can be sure that I won't even start until the last three days.

Yes, horrendously. I used to be worse, and have improved an incremental amount.

Of course I am.
I will wait until the last possible minute and then get what I need to get done in about 5 minutes.
Unless I'm working in a restaurant. Then I'll have silverware rolled and as much sidework done as possible as early as possible.

Yeah, I put off everything. I know I shouldn't, but the laziness is too strong in me.

I just have to laugh when college professors tell us that this "enter subject/project" cannot be done in less than a week or so. Please, you underestimate our powers, day and half is all I need.

Yep. Got it down to an art form. I schedule it so that I start everything in just enough time that I can get it done before it's due. For some reason it turns out better that way most of the time.
Only at work because I hate my pointless job.

No. Procrastinating is like, I'll do it...eventually. I don't do it. I don't do the thing and watch it all crash and burn and think about how simpler this would all be if I would just do the fucking thing and then I still don't do the thing.

I don't procrastinate, I just don't properly manage all of the things I have to do within a day. Sometimes that is out of my control...especially if things suddenly come up that take priority. I use to procrastinate in school (elementary to high school) because I had no interest in doing a majority of the work. A lot of if it consisted of going in a text book and pulling answers out by just re-wording them. That seemed both tedious and not really conducive to me actually learning anything.

Not normally. It has to be something I really don't enjoy doing.
Actually even then sometimes I'll hurry up and do it to get it out of the way.

I procrastinated posting in this thread and then forgot all about it.

I'm pretty bad about doing some things that should be done. But I keep putting it off. Mainly because I already don't want to do it.

A little bit, yes. I try to get things done right away.
Occasionally I put stuff off for a couple of days, but I always get my work done on time. It's been three years since I haven't.

I'm much like Pumkin. I either feel very efficient and do things right away, or I put things off for weeks and weeks.
I once had to pay a fortune and travel to Liverpool to get my passport renewed in a day because i'd put it off for months and months. I also got a £70 fine for overdue library books because I kept putting it off :-/

Eh... There's plenty of time to procrastinate later.
