Do you guys have middle names? Do you like them? Do you ever use them?

My middle name is Rafał. It's the Polish equivalent of the name Raphael. I don't really use it, though, aside from some really official documents. I'm not really bothered by it. My cousin also has it as his first name, so there's that. It's kinda stupid though how my Yahoo account cannot recognize Polish letters so people who receive emails from me see the sender as "Patryk Rafa Stefanowicz". Annoying as hell.

Also, ironically enough, my wife said there were always two male names that she really hated. How fitting that she would marry the guy that had them both :monster:

My middle name is Elayne. I love it. It's kind of a legacy name--both my maternal and paternal grandmothers had the middle name Elaine, so my mom gave it to me but changed it to make it more unique. If I ever have children and have a daughter, I'd consider giving her that middle name.

But hey, did you guys know that Shauna's middle name is Bananaphone? It's true! Crazy, I know!

I don't like my middle name at all. But I've been told that it's a nice name, and I usually disagree with them. It starts with an R.

Mine is Joseph, it made my Catholic grandparents happy, and had I been a girl my name was set to be Josephine after a song, so it slipped in there as well.

Lee!

It's one of my brother's friend's middle names. My mom fell in love with it when she heard it.

I used to hate it growing up.. "Jamie Lee from Tennessee!" (My cousins teased me with that and it drove me insane) , but I'm fine with it now. And it's cool because that guy passed away when I was in high school.

And because I'm so narcissistic or whatever, my dog's middle name is Lee. Also I think it's cute as shit. Penny Lee.

My little girl's middle name is RoseMarie - Rose was my mom's middle name and Marie was her confirmation name (which she gave to my sister). So she's named after my mom and sister.

Oh, that reminds me! I have a confirmation name too. It's Wojciech, the Polish equivalent of the name Adalbert/Ethelbert. Because Slavonic languages are weird like that.

Jayne is my middle name. I use it a lot as Tara Jayne is my 'writers' name, as opposed to my actual surname. Which only a few people know now because it's not on my facebook?! Like, I have people asking me 'what IS your last name?' a lot, and I like it, it's mysterious! :p I also just don't like sharing my surname on the internet - so anyone here who does happen to know it you don't need to write it down in the thread :p

I do have a middle name. I don't like it much. But then, I don't like my first or last name either. This is why I just tell everyone to call me Pike.

The only plus side to my name is that it's so astoundingly common that you can put the whole thing into Google - first, middle, last - and not get a single hit that's actually me for the first 100 pages. (Possibly more, but that's when I stopped looking.)

Middle names are strictly for use in conjunction with the first name to demonstrate to whomever you are yelling at/for that you are extremely upset.

I knew when my parents yelled 'Nicholas Charles!' that I was in for an ass beating or a good scolding. It was as it should be.

You can share one of my middle names ^^

I have 2 middle names, named after both my maternal and paternal grandparents, I love my middle names Ronald William, but I didn't used to as a kid, but this was mainly due to the fact that people wound my up by calling me Pauline or some such name, and I was certain if they knew one of my middle names was William they would call me willy or something equally degrading to my childish mind, so I just didn't bother telling others.

Fun fact: my name is spelled "wrong" because the doctors filled out the birth certificate and my mom was too drugged to mention she intended for my name to have an alternate spelling.

Years later my mom told me she wouldn't be offended if I changed my name to how she originally intended it to be. But I think I'm probably too used to my current name.

My mother and father disputed over my middle name but eventually my mum won out both, yielding the middle name Simon. I've never liked it, so I do the douchey thing of signing "S." in the middle of my name.

Tara Jayne Lavender sounds like a porn name. :p

My middle name is just an initial. I kinda wish my first name was an initial, so I could be like F. Murray Abraham or C. Everett Koop instead of Harry S Truman
