When we talk about the lack of body diversity for females in video games, my go-to example has been Overwatch. Look at this picture:

The diversity in the male cast is... a lot. The females, though, all have the same figure: young, thin yet curvy, very busty.

Blizzard hear people's complaints, and what did they do? Made a new character: Zarya (http://us.battle.net/overwatch/en/heroes/zarya/).

(There's also a new male: McCree (http://us.battle.net/overwatch/en/heroes/mccree/).)

So often when people talk about wanting more diversity in games, people get upset about "but it's fantasy therefore having all the women be young and busty isn't sexist" and "suggesting that you would like to see the genders treated equally is censoring the creatives" or even "make your own games; you can't possibly be critical of things you don't make yourself," and this development is no exception, but I think most people are happy.

Isn't that what all Russian women look like? Except the ones that want to chat with me online, of course.

It's still multiplayer only. They could make the best playable characters ever and I wouldnt care. It's easy to make a new character when there's no actual characterization.

TF2 is multiplayer only and it has some great characters so your argument is invalid.

Multiplayer games don't have characterization? Boo. Boo to that.

I was clicking too quickly on things and the thing chose comic sans for me. There's no "default" option to change back to, so ignore this for now

Anyway, I approve of this, and it makes me curious about this game as well

Is this just another MOBA or is there actually something to see/do? Story or anything? Or just "fight people online" lather rinse repeat

It's an FPS along the lines of Team Fortress 2 if I recall correctly.

Don't know much about Overwatch, doesn't seem like my thing, but the character looks cool.

Overwatch's characters seem to have well-developed personalities and backgrounds. As you can see by my icon, I've long since been sold on it.

I'm not normally a big FPS person but since Blizzard has yet to make a bad game (here come all the dissenting replies) I'll probably give this one a go at some point.

I am of the opinion that WoW is a fairly good game, but even if I wasn't I never said they haven't made a mediocre game. Just not a bad one.

Probably everyone disagrees though :p so I'll exit the thread haha.

I think you spend FAR too much time thinking and caring about this.
