105 with 3 errors while sitting on my couch with my keyboard on my lap, typing tests without actual sentences are dumb though.

I think my fastest ever tested was around 85 when I did a typing test for work. I guess this is pretty average? I don't type correctly though. I only use three fingers of each hand and very rarely do I use my ring finger on my left hand. I bet if I could learn to use all four fingers I could type faster. Now if I try I really have to think about what I am doing.

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHA I didn't look at the screenshot I posted. Something must have messed up when I tried to use the websites screenshot function, hoo boy. I was at 82 wpm with no mistakes.

I don't type properly either. I use my index and middle fingers and I can barely type without looking. When typing while looking and using my four fingers, I get about 85 wpm

I'm using Garfield's Typing Pal now to learn how to type properly. So far I have managed a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,;,r,u lessons without mistakes at a whopping 20 or so wpm

Yep :smug:

Haha, wut. Congrats, you're better than 1950469069% of people. Didn't take a test to know that.

typing tests without actual sentences are dumb though.

Yeah, agreed. I hate just typing random words. For some reason that's harder for me.

I type faster if I'm not having to read random ass words.
wtf is says I only got 1 word right O_o but I somehow got 225 wpm?

Your one either screwed up as well or is totally badass, Bert. xD That thing is really unreliable.

I think I'd probably do better on an actual keyboard at a desk instead of a laptop on a couch.

Took this recently for a job I was applying for and I don't feel like taking another one.

58wpm, 0 errors on my iPhone. Much faster on an actual keyboard - I'll try again when I'm next on a desktop/laptop! :jess:

58wpm on a phone's pretty badass. I've never gotten the knack of phone typing. Still one-finger it. I used to type upper 90s maybe a little over 100, but now probably 60s-70s. Not even going to try on this laptop. I hate its keys.

Man on a phone my typing speed would be, like, 10wpm.

According to TouchPal (my phone keyboard of choice, which tracks the last week of typing speed) I average around 175 characters per minute on my phone, although I'm unsure what that means in terms of words per minute.

Pff. Got 56. Still don't think I type that slow, though. I'm a translator and I have never missed a deadline. I type fast enough :colbert:

At a desktop, on a typical cheap keyboard. I guess I did ok.

Wow, yeah, its really weird processing random words before typing. If it were a sentence I could read it'd flow a lot more naturally. Are there any tests that do that? lol

Edit: Also the forum post link it gave me was that thing. There was no option for just the white thing with all the info. It was just there. Unless you're just copying the picture and posting it?

Edit x2: oh wait, its at the top in normal text. Weird

Annnd it says invalid file, anyway. Oh well
