We have one at work that we use to print prosthetic hands for people (http://www.tedxrainier.com/speakers/ivan-owen/) after hours. During work hours people can sign up and use them to print whatever. My friend printed me a bulbasaur!

Indeed it is. They actually sent files to the International Space Station so they could 3D print parts for maintenance issues.
