Sweet n Sour

Nope, this is not an ode to sweet n sour, the popular asian dish!

I just treated myself to a Sour Warheads freezer pop! Was expecting it to be super sour like the candies are, but it was actually just fucking delicious! It was cherry flavour and soooo sooooo nice. Way better to eat and enjoy than the really awful sickly sweet freezer pops that are just like would you like some orange with that sugar.

I'm a sugar fan, but I hate overly sweet things so I love a bit of sourness and tang to cut through sweet flavours. Part of the reason that I love strawberries and cream is because that delicious sweet cream is just cut through with the right amount of tart from the strawberries. It's the same reason I add raspberries to my tiramisu layer cake - because they have a nice but of fresh tartness which tastes so damn good with all that sweet cake and zabaglione cream filling.

I love sweet and sour combinations! Makes eating so much yummier! :D

Discuss your favourite sweet and sour combinations so that I may try them and have a flavour orgasm plz!

Why would you have sweet and sour when you can just as easily enjoy the superior combination of salty and sour. I suggest a tequila shot, a margarita or just a wedge of lemon with some salt sprinkled on it. It tastes like a delicious heart attack!!
