Do you have to spend a long time going to and from work or school?

Mine takes ~40 mins. or so. ~30 mins. in the morning & ~40 mins. back home. Most of it is waiting for the bus or train.

From the time I start my car until the time I shut the gas off again? About four and a half minutes. I listen to music in my car and I can only ever get through, like, a song and a third.

Work is a mile away so it only takes a few minutes by car.

Had this thread popped up a few weeks ago I would have been the winner. And by that I mean the loser. It was multiple hours, put it that way, and very unpleasant. ¬_¬

BUT. I have moved now. Just a 15 minute walk these days :D

I was home schooled all my life, so it only took me as long as it took to get out of bed, which some time can be pretty long until Dad yelled at me and I went into the bathroom for a few extra minutes of sleep.

I'm self-employed so now I just need to get to my computer.

18-25 minutes! Happy with anything under thirty.

I messed my knee up a few months ago so I had to get a real job to pay bills for now. soo I've been driving an hour or a little less depending on construction. It's a 27 mile drive but parts are dirt and up over a mountain.

It usually takes me 15 minutes to drive to work, unless tehre is a lot of traffic. If there is, it might take half an hour.

Thirty three miles and 45 minutes. The first 20 minutes or so are backroads.

Ok so it used to be 10 mins...walking. I had that for almost 3 years. It was so easy that I could walk home for lunch. It eventually became too mundane to enjoy. Now it takes me about 30 mins worth of train and walking, and the diversity of both, with the unpredictability of each days trek makes it more enjoyable than any short walk could ever be.

Around 10-15 minutes by car. It's alright.

10 minute walk to train via the park though this can sometimes be done under that especially if I don't walk
30 minute train ride
10 minute subway ride
2 minute walk to work

Better than my commute before which was basically 2 hours both ways.

I got approved to move to a place right next to the train but I opted for a less expensive and quieter area. You couldn't hear the train coming in unless they used the horn though.

It takes me about thirty seconds to walk to work. In the old country, getting to work meant an hour-long train ride (with a half hour walk to the station) or an hour and a half on the bus.

For the past few years, and the next four days, it is maybe five minutes at most. Starting next week it shall be around 30-45 depending on traffic.

Under thirty minutes. I do take an expressway, but not for long. There is rarely an issue with the route I take.

It used to be a twenty minute walk to the train station and then a 50 minute train ride (followed by a five minute walk to the office) but after doing that for a couple of years it became such an unbearable slog that I moved to a roughly 13 minute walk from the office. Getting up at 8:30am is definitely worth it and something I thoroughly recommend.

About 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic (though if traffic is really light I can do it in as little as 10 minutes). I've fortunately never had a longer work commute than this.

I believe if I were to end up working somewhere that took longer than half an hour to drive to I'd have to move I start freaking when my commute has taken more than 20 minutes. I can't imagine how people who have an hour or more commute handle it.

It completely depends on how messed up the Beltway/ 295 is. Sometimes it's 25min, sometimes it's an hour and a half.

I walk to work/school. From school's it's literally two minutes since I live just off campus.

As for work? I have to walk fifteen minutes at 2AM through one of the most dangerous cities in the world. ^^;
