View Full Version : What's The Star? (The After Years)

Ever since the character tales opened up, there's been a star after one of them. When it was after Ceodore's Tale, I assumed the star meant that story was complete. Then I completed Rydia's Tale and it moved to hers. Then I completed Yang's Tale and it moved to his...
Is the star just a bookmark so you know the last story you completed? And, if so, why doesn't it move to whichever one is active? Otherwise, what does it mean?

I found a guide (http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/615911-final-fantasy-iv-the-complete-collection/faqs/57849) that said this:
MAKE SURE YOU SAVE EACH TALE ON A SEPERATE FILE! You
will *not* be able to import data from all of them into the final chapter,
otherwise. You've been warned.
Well... *Throws this game in the trash*
This is the sort of thing they should tell you about in advance. The star moved because completing another tale uncompleted the tales I already completed. And all because it didn't properly tell me I needed a new save file to continue THE SAME GAME!!
*Sigh* This is why this game was critically panned. Because it undoes your progress as you complete it unless you just happen to know an obscure secret that it deletes your completed tales without warning.
Yeah... Not gonna do it all over again. So much time wasted that I didn't even have.

Sorry about that, I would have told you if I'd seen this sooner. I had the same problem but I'd only done about two chapters

Yeah, well. What can ya do? I didn't really throw it away. So, maybe I'll start over again later. In the distant future.
