It's that time of year again, when we draft various NFL players and then yell at them every Sunday about how they're ruining our lives. smurfing failures.

All prior participants have been reinvited and you should have gotten an email. But if any new people want to join, be sure to post here to claim a spot, and any openings after a few weeks will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. If there's a lot of interest beyond 14 teams, I can create a second league.

The draft is tentatively scheduled for August 29 at 3 PM EST, but can be changed. For any current teams, be sure to post what days and times you are (un)available the last 2-3 weekends before the season starts, and I'll try to accommodate as many people as possible. The draft order will be finalized a couple of weeks before the draft date.

Also, feel free to suggest any rule changes you would to see. For one, if we do have a full 14 teams again, I am strongly considering trying a 6-team playoff (3 weeks, top 2 teams with first round bye) just because I've always wanted to try it and you losers have always denied me.

Sign up, discuss the life of fantasy football, and feel good about the fact that your draft this year cannot possibly be worse than my 2014 draft in my office league, where I drafted both Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice.

We still have 6 previous teams that haven't signed up yet, including, Proto and, for some reason, Del Murder. Starting July 1, I will start giving away any open spots to any interested participants. As long as you're willing to check in at least once a week to set your lineup, we'll be happy to have you.

So we're currently at 10 teams, which is enough to start, but I'd still like to have at least 12. If anyone knows any of the missing veterans (Fighting Combatants, Los Banditos, BrickSquad Killas, and Corduroy Killers), feel free to harass them. I somehow don't even know their EoFF names, despite how long some of them have played. I've seen several reminders to their registered email account.

I forgot about this thread. Congrats to Proto for the win, while I unfortunately had one of my worst ever seasons. Between bad luck (~0 points from QBs on two weeks due to injuries) and making all the wrong choices, I couldn't even make the passably mediocre season I probably should have had.

At least I won my college league and came in second in my office league.

Now I'm just rooting for the Panthers and Cardinals in the playoffs (I don't really have an AFC team this year... maybe the Broncos? The underdog Chiefs?). Or alternatively, anyone except the Patriots.

My Yahoo! drafted team did fantastic and was the most consistently good team all season. But, as is always the case in fantasy, if you don't win in Week 15 then you have no shot. I got a 133 and a 138 in Weeks 15 and 16 and yet that was only good enough for 4th place! Crazy high points were scored this season.

Sorry guys for being late. Between work and rolling my ankle badly, I've been a bit distracted. I renewed the league and every team from last year should have been invited. If anyone else wants to join, feel free to say so and give me their email address. If anyone from last year does NOT want to participate, please let me know ASAP so I can remove them. I'm just keeping the same rules from last year unless there are any suggestions.

The draft's currently set for Saturday, August 27 at 2 PM EST. I can change it if enough people want to. I'll set the draft order a week or so ahead of time

Not yet, unfortunately. I emailed the old manager asking if he'd be willing to stick around, but haven't heard a response. I may end up pushing back the draft to next weekend, and I just realized as I'm typing this that I never got the draft order sorted out, which I'll do tomorrow regardless. Having a busy summer sucks (and I think a sign that I should hand off the reins next year, if anyone else wants to volunteer for commissioner)

So I started actively soliciting new people, and immediately got a 12th team (our own resident Denmark). But also potentially got even more interest at the same time, so I'm holding off on finalizing the draft order to see if we end up bumped back to 14 teams (in which case I'll remove the flex position, per the policy we've had for a few years now). Hopefully everything will be set within a couple days, but at least we can draft now regardless!

Sounds good either way, 12 teams with flex or 14 without. Or 10 teams with a flex, 2 QBs, and 3 kickers.

So we have 14 teams, and I finally got around to setting the draft order. At least you have a little notice! I just threw the list into an online randomizer, and then almost refused to accept the result in a rage because it gave Jojo the first pick. Talk about beginner's luck.

EDIT: I just realized when going to set the draft order in Yahoo that there's now an option to make Yahoo set a randomized order in advance. I will stick with this list for this year, but that feature can be used in the future.

Well overdue but congratulations Romeo on a much deserved win! Equally impressive that you won the point and regular season win total. Sorry I didn't put up much of a fight in the final game.

Yahoo drafted me another good team, especially Bell after his suspension. I'm pretty satisfied with second place.

You still need two more wins to catch up to me but I'm sure you'll get there in the next 15 years (that is really how long we've been playing this together).
