Being the only person on this site who likes Full House, I feel it is my sworn duty to ruin your day by informing you that it's coming back with all new episodes.

Fuller House, produced by John "I really have nothing better to do" Stamos, will be airing on Netflix next year with 13 episodes. The first episode will be an one hour reunion show with the Tanner Family, sans the Olsen Twins because, "We have a billion dollar company, Johnny, we don't need your chump change." Okay, they didn't actually say that, but I kind of wish they did.

The show actually has an original plot. Yes, here it is: DJ, all grown up, has three kids, but tragedy strikes when her husband passes away! But never fear, because her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy are moving in to help her raise her three boys! Ya see? TOTALLY ORIGINAL! And Kimmy also has a daughter... Who the hell mated with her? (Watch that be a joke on the show, I'll bet you five bucks!)

That aside, I'm watching for the same reason I always watch, Jodie Sweetin. I don't even care.

Discuss.

I'm wondering if they'll play the show straight. What I mean is if they'll still do the sappy piano music/lesson learning thing at the end of each episode, or if they'll try to make the show more modern. I'm sure the show will still be a family TV-like either way.

Anyway, I happened to catch an episode of Full House on TV last week and everything seemed so jarring. That's why I'm wondering if any format changes will be made.

That's a good question, actually. Jodie's gone on record to say the show is going to have a bit more of an edge to it. Not sure what's that supposed to mean. I hope they do away with the sappy music. One of the reasons I liked The Bill Cosby Show was because they didn't force-feed lessons down your throat. The lessons they did teach felt much more genuine.

Saying it has a bit more of an edge doesn't mean much. Only The Brady Bunch matched it in edgelessness. I'll probably watch a couple of episodes. I grew up with Full House.

Maybe they'll play with the sappy life-lesson music, like in Scrubs. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6vek6NRU3s) Baba ba ba ba baaa.

I have to say I am very excited to see what direction they are going to take with this. I can honestly take it without the Olsen twins, because all they were good for in the original were those super cute comments which I feel are lost to adulthood.

I reject this show, not needed, hope it gets canceled, etc.

Eight Seasons. Would have had a ninth if the cast was willing.
Still running on syndication.
Still popular with families and children.
THE SHOW REJECTS YOU!

You misunderstand. I grew up with Full House and Bob Saget is still a weird father figure to me. Full House is great.

I reject a revamp because why the fuck would they do that.

Sad attempt to recapture their glory years is the vibe I'm getting from it.

I'm a filthy enabler, though, so I can't complain.

I hope they do a cross-over w/ the MCU where Punisher shows up & wipes everyone out.

In the end we will all be watching and ToriJ already told us why. We will all be watching to see Jodie Sweetin's (clears throat) "acting talent". (Looks around the room to see if anyone believe me) ;)

I liked Full House. Sappy as hell, but good family television. I may be interested in the new one due to the Netfilx label and the fact that I have a growing family and there is a lack of good family programming these days.

I think that everyone who is thinking about watching Fuller House should just watch Bojack Horseman instead.

Another thing they're kind of taking from the original is having Stephanie be a musician. I hope they don't completely ripoff Jesse shtick with that. It makes sense since we saw her interest in music during Season Eight, but I remember she had all those dancing lessons that could be of use. For some reason I see her more as a pop artist than a rock n roll musician. And considering how popular Pop music is these days, I get the feeling that's what they'll go for.

What do Stephanie and DJ look like these days? Did they turn into horrible train wrecks like most other child stars?

She doesn't look THAT bad based off the updated pictures I've seen of her.

Does anyone remember Stephanie's friend who appeared in a couple of episodes of the last season? I forget her name. The one that first debut on the cigarette episode? The years have definitely been kind to her. I wonder if she'll make an appearance at all.

All I know right now is that it's coming to Netflix in 2016. Not sure when in 2016.

considering how much i'm happy with they way "Girl Meets World" is being done, i have high hopes that this will be done just as well, with just as much respect for it's roots...

Kind of related, so I'll post it here. Cinemassacre did a Board James video where he covers a Full House board game, as well as a Steve Urkel game. I know Ayen should be interested in this.

Also, video contains strong language. Viewer Discretion is advised.

If this show doesn't have Bob Saget telling his version of The Aristocrats at some point it'll be a real missed opportunity as far as retroactively ruining childhoods.

Set in San Francisco, Fuller House focuses on D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) and her efforts to raise a family after the death of her husband Tommy.

I didn't know I was married with kids.

I didn't even know I was dead!
