You certainly can over-level if you want to. There are plenty of great moves to pick up. Plus, some Pokémon won't evolve until past level 50. Just be aware that the game will reduce the level back down to 50 when you battle.

Also, there are various locations to get a Sun Stone depending on if you're playing XY or ORAS.

But in both games, you can get one as a possible reward from the Secret Super Training level "Drag Down Hydreigon".

oh thank goodness i thought i only had another week

I had restarted OR a few weeks ago and then realized that I could only get some moves that I want at the Battle Resort. so I needed to beast through the rest of the game. which I finished doing yesterday. and I have only EV trained one stat of one pokemon.

so yeah I'm a bit relieved since I've felt too guilty to play anything but pokemon lately and now I have some time to do so

if you have a LVL 100, then you could maybe sweep alot of the E4 and train 5 at a time. i have a LVL Gardeviour EV'd in Sped and SP ATK. and she has Moonblast Psychic Magic leaf and Hypnosis. the only prolem is the PP but i can get through the E4 and maybe the champion sometimes with that one pokemon. 22 Tries of the E4 in Y to get that thing to lvl 100...

As long as we play with the Normal rules, pokemons that are below level 50 will still be at 50 during the games, so you only really need to level up far enough to get all the moves you want and for evolutions etc.

Thus, EV training is more important than getting all pokemons to 50+. :greenie:

Horus - Talonflame
Ra - Blaziken
Horakhty - Volcarona


I typically use mythological names, and due to Volcarona's design, pulling from Egyptian mythology just sort of fit. Then Horus and Talonflame fit too, so I decided to theme them all around Egyptian mythology.

Will I be able to watch these battles? I've never played competitively; I know there's something called a battle recorder but I've no clue if that allows you to upload your battles to say, here, or link them elsewhere. I really want to view how they pan out!

Unfortunately, no. There is no built in upload function, and to upload it, one of the participants in the battle would have to have a 3DS modified to record.

you can watch battles by others though. Any
player can choose to upload a recorded battle
while online in the game. The uploaded battle
will get a code, which can be shared to other
players. All you have to do to watch is; go online,
then open your VS Recorder and enter the code.

TIPS FOR QUICK LEVELING (you can get from lv. 1 to 100 in a couple of hours!)

1. Get the Exp. O-power from the Anistar City Pokemon Center
(OPTIONAL: Get some Lucky eggs. You can steal them from Pelipper if you're playing ORAS; otherwise, I have five to spare)
2. Restaurant Le Wow is the best since you can abuse the loophole in the duration of the exp. o-power
3. The more you use the power, the stronger it gets!
4. Always go for the triple battles (might wanna go with single or double while your hatched Pokemon are still on low levels - have a Pokemon that can solo the battles)
5. If you can't afford Restaurant Le Wow - go for the Elite 4! If you don't have a Pokemon that can solo it (It's not that hard - I did it with a ~lv.70 Eelektross), I can lend you that Eelektross I just mentioned. It's now level 100 and has no weakness, so it can OHKO most of the E4's Pokemon.
6. After each battle in Le Wow you should have more than enough money to enter again - those mushrooms they give you sell really high, and you get a crapload even if you don't follow the turn limit!
