I frequently get asked if I'm American at work. Then once they know I'm not they suddenly become more friendly. Why is that, Amurica?

They're simply threatened by America's awesomeness.

That, or they don't like America. It's a tough call either way really.

When I've had a few drinks and I'm around American people, I've been known to accidently start speaking with an American accent. It's so cringey! I just love the accent though!

It's like when I go abroad - people are infinitely more friendly if you specify that you're not English.

its funny, whenever I go anyplace people always think I'm so nice because im Canadian. However there is a giant difference between the east coast and west coast of Canada, I grew up and live on the West Coast and it is still considered the Wild West in a sence that it is a very rough place still.

We grilled out last night and got drunk. Kinda.

Fireworks triggered my bf's ptsd though and he kind of freaked out :(

Happy Belated 4th of July, America. We haven't bought fireworks for years now, so... Yeah. I just endure the loud bangs outside these days.

Blew up some fireworks. Ate good food. Had good times.

Of course! It's awesome!

There was no thread topic though so I guess everyone thought it was to do with America/Independence Day.

Yeah, if you don't specify what you want people to talk about, we'll just draw our own conclusions.

Or spam, whatever.
