Any sports fans on here ever play these games? They're kind of old. The last one came out ten years ago. I only played 99 (which I still have) and 2000, which I preferred because you could make your own players. I always liked making stuff in games regardless what the genre was. I think I played a demo of 97 or 98, I can't remember which.
I was never any good at football so I didn't understand any of the plays. Some times you didn't have to play the game. Just press X to hike the ball and the computer takes over from there unless you tapped a button or something. You know what bulltrout, though? The plays are right there for both players to see. At least in GameDay 99. Though I think it was the same in 2000 as well. How can you strategize at all when your opponent knows every move you're making, assuming both players can read plays to begin with? That's something my brother noted one time I was playing with the nephew and it never occurred to me before. Apart from that, not a bad game.
