Evolution Championship Series 2015 started approximately 6 hours ago. For those oblivious to what it is, it's basically a pretty big fan-organized fighting game tournament featuring all sorts of different games.

The games for this year are scheduled to be:


Ultra Street Fighter 4
Persona 4 Arena
Super Smash Bros. Wii U
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Tekken 7
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Mortal Kombat X
Killer Instinct
Guilty Gear Xrd

I watched some of it. I'm not really a fighting game fan, though; way too much of the genre is obscured behind really arcane button input combinations that create a barrier of entry I've never been willing to hurdle.

It always makes me sad how in every game, something like 1/5th of the roster is even considered for selection.
