It started with this:

[09:44] == adam changed the topic of #fools-gold to: BOOOOOOOOOOOOONE STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWz3opRXySU)

So, yeah, blame him, but it got me to thinking and, after a quick trip down the Wikipedia rabbit hole, there are a lot of fictional video games (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fictional_games#Video_games) out there. Why can't some of them be real?

If you had the chance to play any one of the fake games out there, which would you want to become a reality and why?

Off the top of my head? The Full House game that was a spoof of Street Fighter. I want to play as Stephanie Tanner so bad.

The dating sim game from Excel Saga. I vowed if I ever became a game designer and made a High School Dating Sim there would be a section where you have to dismantle a bomb and one of the choices in every conversation with anyone would be "Stick it in".

Valgernon from Muv-Luv does feel like it'd at least be fun to play for a while.

I always wanted to play Starfighter from The Last Starfighter.

"Greetings Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Starleague to defend against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada."

One of them was a Mortal Kombat rip-off if I remember rightly. I think it was the one where Enzo lost and got caught in the Web (or the Matrix or whatever it was called).

"The World" from .Hack looks like it'll be fun. The game itself doesn't seem to have any plot, you make your character and go do whatever you want.

This could be a real mario kart challenger. Someone tell Sony!

Has anyone seen Pixels yet? There are a number of fictional video games in that movie too.

I always loved the concept of Dash Dingo on The Simpsons.

Does Half-Life 3 count? :p

If not, then Grand Theft Walrus.
