Tabata dropped the best indication of the Final Fantasy XV release date yet: "We can certainly say to people: it's not going to be 2017. It's going to be before that."

I think everyone was a bit worried after the Gamescom showing, plus Tabata saying it was only 65 % done but woohoo!

It's pretty much accurate though. "It will be after 2015" "It will be before 2017".

There's not much room for interpretation ^^

I'd be excited but a 2016 release is a foregone conclusion. But they must not be ready for a spring release if they're still not ready to commit to a date.

Shame. Currently it looks like they may be setting up for a summer/fall release. And I think that's just asking for the game to not do well.

Hasn't pretty much every FF game come out in Fall/Winter? I see no reason FFXV to change that.
