My be the wife and I will be getting this game soon so my question is this: if we both intend to play on PCs, do we need two copies of the game or is one enough?

If both of you want to play simultaneously you need two service accounts. That means two game purchases and two subscriptions.

You could also buy only one game and create only one account, and then create two different characters on that account, but in this case only one of you could log in at the same time. You could split the cost for the subscription though.

Please anyone correct me in case I got something wrong; I've only had a shared account so far. ; )

So I can't just create a separate account for my wife if I have my own on the game already? Sounds pretty lame, but I guess it's manageable.

What about Heavensward? Do we need two copies of that too?

Are you wanting to play at the same time at any point? If the answer to this question is yes, then you need two copies of everything.

It's worth noting that you can both download a free trial version of the game to test it out first before committing.

We will probably do that. Thanks, Night.

And thank you to everyone else for the info. We do indeed plan to play at once, probably won't be playing separately at all. But it's still some time away cause we kinda need those new computers first :p

Didn't Pike, like, say Sargatanas was full when she tried to join? Also, you guys need another Paladin cat and Black Mage cat? :D

Yep.

There are lots of members who aren't part of the forum. :3

Cool, thanks for the info!

Just remember, guys, it won't happen that soon, so don't expect us to join you like in a week or something :p I'm still not sure when, realistically speaking, we'll be able to play. This was just for general orientation.

Though just saying, it would be great to have your wife on EoFF though.
