For those of you who don't know of this amazing app yet, Zombies Run is part-running app, part-radio audition, part-game that places you in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse in Great Britain. The story scenes play out as you run, with your own music between the scene, placing you in the shoes of Runner 5 who helps the citizens of Abel Township deal with the zombie plague.

I highly recommend this little gem to anyone wanting to take up running, or just if you're interested in a really cool zombie-apocalypse narrative. It really helped motivate me to come back to running and I am so in love with these characters and story. The voice acting is phenomenal (excepting a few really fake-sounding American accents. Really, I sound more American than them, and I'm Polish. Some Americans are played by Americans though), and you really feel like part of the real thing because of that. Jack and Eugene are hands-down the best thing about this app, IMO.

So, if you haven't tried this out yet, you should! It's a really gripping story that helps you stay in shape - what more could you want?

Abel runners who have already experienced the awesome - how are your runs coming along? I'm in mid-season two, and I have to say, I'm loving every minute so far :)

Thanks for the offer Mr. Carny, but I am more of a cyclist. I'm not a great jogger. I can barely bring myself to wear shorts for exercise in public, at least with a bike people don't see me for more than half a second.

You could do anything with it, it's just an interactive story. By interactive I mean you build a town based on the resources you collect on missions. I use it outside on runs, on a stationary bike, elliptical, and treadmill. It makes excercise more engaging and fun I think

Seriously, why are there so many sports bras lying around? I mean I appreciate them, they are needed as runners but dang.

Sports bras and USB sticks abound.

I just love it how sometimes Siri says "picked up a book and... a book"

I'm also pretty sure that at some point in Radio Abel Jack and Eugene lampshade that Sports bra thing.
